Hon Chemistry 4-2-24 Electron Configuration Notation

HON CHEMISTRY: just when you were getting the hang of drawing arrows, I go and change it! But don’t you think writing electron configuration notation is a whole lot shorter than doing orbital notation? Don’t get me wrong, knowing how to do orbital is great for seeing how the electrons are paired, but this way is way shorter! And speaking of shorter – let’s crank it up with noble gas notation tomorrow.

HW UPDATE: Only do the regular electron configuration notation tonight. You don’t have to do the questions about noble gas notation.

Be sure and practice with the homework tonight, and don’t forget to use the Aufbau “chart”!!!!

  1. R: These few weeks I have been very meh. I am trying, but I do not think I am where I need to be on this project. This has been a challenge that I find very fun to go about. I rate my progress a 1-2 because of this. My progress is getting there, but also it is not exactly perfect. My reflection concludes that I always need to improve and that it is not impossible to get there.

  2. I rate myself a 1 so far. I have a general understanding of everything so far but I haven’t made much progress. I have struggled to make myself sit down and do the work. When I have I got a lot done. I think once I get into the flow I will move much faster and start dreading it less and get it done.

  3. So far I would give myself a 4/5 on the project. I have been ahead of all the due dates I’ve set for myself and have fully planned what I want to do. As long as I pick it back up at the same pace after the Home Missions trip, I will finish before the deadline.

  4. I rate myself a 2 out of 5 on the project. This is due to the fact that we don’t have due dates therefore it makes it harder to get myself to make my own progress. I am trying to not wait till the last minute therefore I am making it a goal to do a little bit everyday and hopes that I will not have to wait to the last week to rush everything.
