CHEMISTRY – Happy Homecoming! So how do you know if something is a chemical and change? Applications, applications! Make sure you can apply what you learned today. Ditto on the laws of conservation of mass and energy.
Good job on tracing the energy transformations from one form to another. Make sure you can apply all this on the test (and in life!). Did I mention that already?
Speaking of the law of conservation of mass – lab tomorrow! Come prepared!!

The fire it that first frame is chemical change because heat light and sometimes sound are released in fires. It is also an exothermic reaction.

I thought burning the paper and it turning it into ash was a cool demonstration of a chemical change.
I think tomorrow will go a bit smoother than today did.
Its crazy that people think they are disproving the law of conservation of mass when their masses are different. Because they didn’t take account of natural causes.
I really liked learning about the laws of science this week; when will we start studying nuclear laws of science?
I liked the lab we did this week and I am glad I got less than 0.10% error on the first trial.
I’m glad that my partner and I got our percent error under 1 today!
I think it’s really cool how mass can change based on whether the liquid is in an open or closed container.
I like this chapter and enjoyed the labs we have worked on this week.
I enjoyed the lab these past two days. I am glad me and my partner got it right on our first try.
I enjoyed the lab on conservation of mass. It was interesting and fun.
The demonstration of burning the paper, really helped me understand the differences between Chemical and Physical changes.
I really enjoyed doing the lab today!!! It really helped me to understand how mass can be changed by putting it into different containers.
the lab that we did today and yesterday was really enjoyable! You could see the law of conservation of mass actually take place.
I’m glad we got to learn about physical and chemical changes. Those always confused me before.
I liked the candle lab although the observations were quite challenging!
I enjoyed the labs this week. I now better understand the conservation of mass.
