Is there a concern about the amount of breathable oxygen in my confined area?
M – that’s something you’ll need to research
Do we still have the option of bringing the dead flashlight with us?
M – Yes
Can we assume that there are batteries in the LED fairy lights?
J – No, it’s just the string of lights
how do we source amazon? for the project
B – Source it like you would an Internet article. For the in text citation, the article title is the name of the thing you look up. For Works Cited, you’ll do it like the Internet example I gave you in the sample Works Cited on the project sheets.
If we use the same source more than once, does it need to be repeated in our works cited each time we use it or do we just put it on the works cited once? Also by manuscript form do you mean MLA?
Are thoughtco.com and reference.com ok to use as reliable sources for our project?
J – I’m not 100% sure about these. Thoughtco.com is okay, I think. I can’t find any info about the reliability of Reference.com, so it would not be a source that I would count as reliable.
What do I put for the date if a website gives me more than one date. Like Amazon gives me 1996-2019. Which one would I use or just do the whole things.
Can we uses google translate as a source?
J – Yes! You can use Google Translate, but it’s the only Google source that you can use.
how do I source google translate?
When sourcing in our paper do we use authors last name and year or title of article and year it was published?
C – If it has an author, use the author. If it does not, use the title of the article. If there is no title of the article, use the organization that published the source. And always the year!
How do we source a website if it’s something like Dictionary.com? Do we put the word we’ve looked up in quotes like it’s the title of the article?
J – Yes! Any source that has entries that you look up like Dictionary.com, put the word you look up in quotes like it’s the title of the article.
Is it ok if we didn’t print our sources front and back. We had to print on the front side only because it kept cutting off the bottom portion of the pages when we printed front and back
B – that is okay! Front and back is just to save paper and space
Does the printed source from google translate have to have a link on it?
J – yes, but you can write it in if it gets cut off
If a source is used more than once does it need to be in our works cited every time we used it in our paper or just said once?
C – Put it in your Works Cited just the first time you use it AND if you use it again for a different reason
Can we write the url at the bottom of our sources if the url doesn’t print.
B – Yes. It’s a setting on your printer that you can change. Look under Printer Properties and you can check or uncheck. But you can also write it in.
what happens when we are given more than one date? do we put the most recent one?
M – Yes
How do I source google translate?
B – Use the word(s) you look up as the article name
Is the date of an article the date it was published or when the website was copyrighted?
B – In this case I’d go with when it was published. When in doubt, go with the most current date.
are we allowed to use pdf’s as a source? if so, how should we source it?
H – Yes! Source it by like an article you got from the Internet.
