  1. I learned that forcing myself to work toward a deadline whether it be real or fake makes me work harder and more efficient.

  2. I learned that I need to manage time better, and I am a lot less stressed out when I get stuff done one day at a time and not let it pile up. God taught me the importance of not being lazy and getting stuff done.

  3. During this project God taught me that you can’t always wait until the last minute to do things. I waited until the last minute and I was stressed and probably made some mistakes. God put thought into all of his creation and so should we whenever we do anything.

  4. During this project I learned how much God can answer your prayers. Throughout this project, I’ve been praying that the Lord would give me strength to finish it. There were many times when I felt like I was drowning in my work, but the Lord made sure I would be able to complete it. It taught me how much the Lord listens and how influential prayer can be.

  5. During this project I learned that no matter what situations you are in, there’s always a way out. Trusting God is a big part of this statement, because he is in control of our lives and what happens to us. Even stranded in the Danakil Depression, we still need to have our hearts trusting God to protect us and get us rescued.

  6. On this project I learned to have patience, and not get distracted. And how to trust God in all circumstances. There is always a way out even if its hard.

  7. I learned that procrastination is awful. Not doing your work a decent time before it’s due forces you to cram everything in at once and you won’t be able to put good effort into it. Through this project God has taught me that laziness is not a good thing, it says in Proverbs that a slack hand causes poverty.

  8. From the Lost… project I learned two major lessons. The first is that it is ok and usually best to ask for help when you feel you are not doing something 100% correctly. I learned this lesson by building up the courage to double check with Mrs. Skinner and former classmates that I was starting off the project correctly in the beginning so I didn’t get myself into a bigger mess when writing the paper. The 2nd lesson I learned is that its better too have a assignment done earlier than later even if it requires more time in advance , to prevent last minute errors such as stated by Murphy”s law ” that if anything that can go wrong it will.” I am blessed God taught me these two lessons as they will come in handy in my school work as well as college assignment; but also life in general.

  9. I learned that forcing myself to work is a lot harder than having set deadlines, and that I am able to not procrastinate and get the job done. I know I can trust God to help me through all situations, including a hard project like this.

  10. I learned that time management and doing things day by day is very important and procrastination is really bad and it adds up.

  11. During doing this project, I have learned to manage my time more wisely by not procrastinating and by setting work goals day by day for the project and to really pay attention to detail. God has really helped me to stay patient while doing this project, and whenever I was stressed while I was working on the project He gave me guidance.

  12. While I was doing this project, I learned to manage my time better. I also learned that all good things take time. I did a lot of research and studies. I just wish I hadn’t procrastinated until a few days before. I’m so thankful God gave me the strength to finish the project and have patience with it.

  13. One thing i learned was how to not procrastinate. For most things I wait until the last minute to do them. But for this i had plenty of time left after i had turned mine in.

  14. During the project, I learned that it is much easier and less stressful to pace yourself instead of procrastinating. I also learned that God listens to all my prayers and He cares about everything in my life, even things like the chemistry project.

  15. I learned that working towards a goal everyday, even if it is little progress or great progress, will make a difference towards the future. I felt that God taught me that if I put my faith in him while I do my work, he will support me in not giving up on any type of work, easy or hard.

  16. God taught me that if I trust in him, it will get done. I had no hope whatsoever for this project, but God held my hand through it and guided me through the darkness of doubt.

  17. This project taught me that working ahead pays off in the end. God taught me that when you are stressed out that nothing comes out of worrying and that we should trust in him.

  18. This project taught me a lot about how I need to work on my prioritization skills and how I can be more diligent in the future. I procrastinated a lot during this project and that has caused me a lot of stress. God has taught me that even if I pray for help with school, it is on me to do the footwork. I didn’t do as much footwork as I should have and God has shown me that. I have definitely learned that doing that excelling at something isn’t just from being smart, it has to do with how much work you put into it. If I could go back to the beginning of the project I would work harder and start working sooner, but since I can’t rewind time, I will do better on future assignments of this sort.

  19. This project showed me that god allows for things to happen for a reason. With this project he showed me that he is always there guiding us through things.

  20. I learned that I should not wait until the last minute to get things done. God taught me that if I wait too long to do something, it might go wrong.

  21. I learned that it’s not best to wait till the last minute for anything. Doing it when it’s given is the best time because I was a lot less stressed out about it and was able to do it correctly without rushing to get it done

  22. I learned I need to have patience and make more time. And this showed me that God has a plan for everything and there’s always a way out. God helps you

  23. I learned that you can survive the danakil depression with a Pepsi bottle, tape and moso bag. God taught me that life is less stressful when you don’t procrastinate and to trust him timing.

  24. During this project God taught me a lot. He taught me that he is always in control and not to stress out. He also taught me that i could accomplish really difficult things if i fully devoted to it.

  25. During this project, God taught me that even the most strenuous tasks are possible, regardless of how difficult it may have seemed. He showed me that though perseverance, and though constant efforts and not giving up, even things that seem hard at first can be done.

  26. I learned that I need to not do things last minute or it stresses me out and the quality suffers. I also learned a lot about survival like how sunflower seeds are actually really good for you.

  27. This project taught me time management and how to take a seemingly hard large project and break it up into healthy manageable pieces. This taught me to be confident in my decisions and don’t be afraid to take risks. I taught to be open to new ideas and game plans, it also taught me to listen my peers but look into it myself. God taught me I can do all things through him things who strengths me. He taught me to not only have faith in him but in me. God helped me me grow stronger, wiser and more patient.

  28. This project taught me not to do things at the last minute & prioritize different things. God taught me not to stress in situations but instead call on him.

  29. I learned that a project does not need to be last minute. It definitely needs to be planned out in a timely manner that way you won’t stress. God taught me that anything that He puts me through I can make it because the lost project was really hard and stressful. But putting my trust in Him it pushed me through it and encouraged me to finish it.

  30. I learned from the project, that if it can go wrong, it will. God taught me how to be patient on my research. Eventually you will find a way to make something work.

  31. I learned that everything from the project can go wrong at the last minute. God taught me to stay calm and trust that He will get me out of a sticky situation.

  32. During this project I learned a lot about how to manage my time better and set time apart specifically for the project only. I also learned that I need to work on myself and try to fix some of my procrastination habits.

  33. I learned that making myself get stuff down ahead of schedule is really helpful, and I intend to use it in life.
