Hon Chemistry 4-5-24 Chapter 4 Overview

HON CHEMISTRY: Are you ready for the chapter 4 test? Here’s an overview of the test and look back at some of the “problems” from the chapter.

Have you checked out the Chapter 4 Stuff to Know Sheet? Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to memorize the things you need to memorize so that you can apply them on the test. And practice, practice, practice, the problems and electron configurations. Did I mention that already?

What about applications for discussion? Photoelectric effect, spectroscopy, etc.? Another great idea for studying is to watch the videos that we watched in class, and others – super helpful as you study for the test!! Here are some of them:
Spectrum of the Stars (overivew of the results of the spectroscopy lab you did, shows the connection between our lab on spectroscopy and how we can identify elements), Emission Spectrum of Hydrogen (how we use it to know about the energy levels in an atom), Quantum Mechanics (about the roles of Bohr, Schrodinger, Heisenberg), and also Animated Quantum Mechanics.

God bless you as you study! I’ll be praying for you!!

  1. This week I have triumphed in beginning to work on my project again. I have been gaining some momentum on that and it is becoming easier. I also studied well for my test and understood everything. I paid attention to all the notes and I have done good on the electron configuration.

  2. This week I have triumphed with catching up with all of my makeup work. I think I have done this well because I have been able to watch all of the vodcasts that I missed. I was also able to complete my homework efficiently.

  3. I did well on studying for my chemistry test. I did well because I didn’t study as last minute as I usually do and I studied well. I prepared for it ahead of time. Also, I felt very confident when I was taking the chemistry test.

  4. My triumph this week was catching up on all my work. I’ve been studying for the test since Monday, and I feel pretty confident about it. I didn’t allow myself to become overwhelmed either. I planned my work ahead of time and I stuck to my plan. I think I’ll do well on my test as well.

  5. This week I feel that I have triumphed in studying for my chemistry test. Since this test is over stuff from before spring break, I had to refresh my brain on the older material. I split my studying into sections which helped me understand each lesson more in-depth. I feel confident that I know the material, and I hope to do well on my test.

  6. This week I triumphed in studying for the chemistry test. I studied in advance and felt good about the test. I didnt wait to study till the last minute.

  7. This week, I triumphed by completing the labs and continuing my work on the project. Both of the labs were enjoyable, so I was able to finish them on time. My work on the project progressed so I am not far behind and will be ready to turn it in on time.

  8. My triumph this week is working hard to get back on track for the project. I’m now almost ready to submit it. I had to sit down and work really hard and catch up on the things I fell behind on. I’m really happy with the amount of work I have done here recently.

  9. I triumphed this week by completing the labs and working on the project. I was able to find time to complete the homework and try to work on the project a little bit more.

  10. I triumphed this week by executing in labs and studying for my test. I started studying during the week and breaking it down in small bits instead of trying to study everything at once. In labs I was able to finish with a good amount of time left and understand what we were doing.

  11. This week I did well in managing my time. With the sweet being very crazy, having test and homework in other subject, I still managed to do my project and study for all my test and finish all my homework. This week really would have been a challenge for me, but from learning this year and being to time manage, i was able to get through this week despite the heavy work load.

  12. This week I triumphed in making up work from missing the previous week with the Home Missions trip. I have completed all my make up work which has freed up my weekend to focus on the chemistry project.

  13. This week I triumphed on doing all my homework on time so that I have more time to work on my project. I make sure that I don’t wait until the last minute to do my homework so that I can use that time instead to work on my project.
