Physics 2-8-21 Rotational Dynamics, Pt. 1

PHYSICS – Wow! Could you do this? Here’s the lecture on rotational inertia, angular velocity, and angular momentum – rotational dynamics! We’ll pick up the conservation of angular momentum tomorrow. Fun times!

By the way – I wonder how all this applies to other rotating things…like maybe the Earth? Hmmmmm……

  1. This week, I rate myself a 3/5. I have struggled with keeping up with the concepts this week and felt very unprepared for the test. I am very glad the test got moved back because I need some time to sort out what I know and what I don’t know. The snow day today was very much needed because I was feeling very overwhelmed this week. I am glad we had a little break to relax. The experiments this week were very cool, and they helped with my conceptual understanding because I have something to look back on.

  2. This week I rate myself a 4/5. I understood the new concepts this week, but I feel like I won’t remember the explanations for why something happens when it comes to testing time. Since I understand the concepts, I am going to go over the reasons why something happens before the test so that I can explain them. The demonstrations in class really helped me to grasp the concept of rotating objects. I was very glad for the snow day because it let me rest, relax, and catch up on school work. Overall, this week was good, but I feel like I need more preparation before the test.

  3. I rate myself a 3/5 this week. I haven’t had too much trouble with the material from this week, but I just hope I can remember it all! I am worried about the test because there’s so much material, but I think I’ll be ok if I use the long weekend (and hopefully snow days) to gradually study. I really enjoyed our snow day on Thursday, and I am definitely praying for some more next week!

  4. I would rate myself a 3/5 this week. I’m glad our test got moved back because there are still some things I feel that I need to get a better grasp on. The hands-on demonstrations this week really helped. I think I’ve got a decent grasp on the new concepts and problems. I plan to study hard this weekend to prepare for this test, whenever it happens.

  5. This week, I rate myself a 300/500. I am still kinda struggling here with the circular motion concepts, however; I am grasping. I still need to catch up on lans so I don’t fall too far behind. The ice and snow are pleasant and I want more.

  6. This week I would rate myself a 3/5. At the beginning of the week, I didn’t really understand any of the concepts, but after our review I feel much more confident. I am a tad bit worried about the test, but I plan on working lots of practice problems to make sure I understand everything.
