Physics 11-14-16 Vertical Forces Review & Forces with Fish, Pulleys and Friction

PHYSICS: How do you feel about the vertical forces problems? Here’s our review of the fish on the line one, helicopter, and bucket of – and maybe something else??

Great start on solving the pulley problem! Did you notice that it was an application of horizontal forces, vertical forces, and friction all at once! Can’t wait to see how you do on the final review worksheet tonight!

Also, great job on the Newton’s Law Photography Project! I love watching you apply what you’ve learned to your everyday life. My favorite part of physics! 🙂

Chemistry 11-14-16 Formula Mass & Molar Mass & Molecules

CHEMISTRY: So how many water molecules do you think are in this drop? Now you have enough information to find out. Can you figure it?

Here’s the lecture from Monday on formula mass and molar mass, and then using molar mass and Avogadro’s number as a conversion factor. You did a great job on thinking through the problems! Now go forth and practice them so you don’t forget!

Homework clarification: On the homework that is due tomorrow, you can just do b and c. And don’t forget the thLAB!! Be sure and read it now so you can get supplies!

Hon Chemistry 11-14-16 Chapter 7 Test Overview

HONORS CHEMISTRY: Do you feel like you are starting to go a little crazy? Lots and lots to be responsible for in this chapter, huh? God bless you as you study for the test! Here’s an overview of the test from today. Also, right below today’s lesson, I’m posting the vodcast from the help session last Friday – writing and naming chemical formulas

Did you find the “Chapter 7 Stuff to Know & Know How to Do” sheet on Edline? It’s a great way to get organized in studying for the test. I know it seems like a lot, but you can do it!

First priority – make sure that you have memorized EVERYTHING. Then, go to sciencegeek.net and make sure you can write and name chemical formulas. Practice, practice, practice!!! Then start practicing the different kinds of problems – do at least three of each one of them. And also try those on sciencegeek.net. That’s always some good practice. God bless – I’ll be praying for you!
