PHYSICS: Great job on the horsepower lab. Lotta noise – I’m thinking some of you took out some of your physics phrustrations on the stairs! Post your own horsepower numbers here. Did you notice that not all of the stairs are the same height? BTW: 1 Hp = 746 W and 1 kg = 2.2 lb. Post your lab results here. Who has the most power? And why?
Here’s the lecture from today on power. Great start on the problems!
My horsepower was 0.24hp
My power was 376.923 W and my horsepower was 0.50 hp.
My horsepower is 0.20 hp.
My horsepower was 0.16 hp
Sebatian Galante: 0.607 hp
David Newman: 0.350 hp
can someone remind me why we divide by 100?
when i do that i get the same numbers as sebastien
David, you have to divide by 100 in order to change centimeters to meters. My horsepower was 0.37 hp.
my horsepower was 0.38
Courtney – UNITS!!!
ah… thanks
My power was 229.6 and hp was 0.308
Jakin – What? UNITS!!!
Oops…. My horsepower was 0.308 hp.
Cory Anderson: 0.406 W
Matthew Davis: 0.384 W
Ms Skinner, can our labs be out of order?
Charlie – Yes, physics labs may be out of order in your lab book.
Whoops! Sorry guy, I forgot to do this. My horsepower was 0.239.
I mean 0.239 hp. I feel so weak… ha
can there me an award for the weakest because i’d for sure win.
