CHEMISTRY: Wow! Great video, but do you feel like you have information overload!?
Here is the lab safety video we watched in class. It does have a ton of info, and the thing is, you absolutely must know it – and not just for the test, but also throughout the year in lab. It’s a really good idea to watch it again and take notes as you go.
Make sure and check your syllabus to be ready for tomorrow! Here are some important reminders:
- Be sure you have entered your information in the first day of class form – it’s in the the post I wrote called, “Beginnings” – it’s due TODAY!!
- Don’t forget the QUIZ tomorrow – Lab Equipment from the slide show on Lab Equipment post. Just the equipment, not the use.
- Be sure and read and highlight Pt. 1, The Bunsen Burner, for tomorrow. If you didn’t get a copy in class, you can find it and print it from the Lab tab here on the website.
In Chemistry this year I expect to learn about different types of Chemicals and how they react to each other. I also expect to learn what causes certain chemicals to react the way they do.
In chemistry this year I would like to be able to know how to create cool chemical reactions. I also expect to learn which chemicals are the most dangerous and explosive.
In Chemistry this year I expect to learn about how the elements of creation react with each other, and how this relates to us.

What I expect to learn from chemistry is how chemicals effect use in our day to day life, and how what we ingest effects our minds and bodies on a molecular level.

I expect to learn how to make and create different solutions and formulas from chemicals.
I expect to learn about different chemicals and formulas. I also expect to learn how to be responsible.
i expect to learn about the different elements and how to do new labs.
This year in chemistry I’m a looking forward to learning about all the different types of equipment and how to use them correctly. I also want to learn about all the different chemicals and know what will happen when you mix them together. I hope to be prepared for future chemistry classes in college by the end of the year.

In Chemistry this year I expect to become more responsible and grow my knowledge of the world. I also expect to have fun but safely.

In Chemistry this year, I expect to learn all about the substances that make up our world and how they react with each other. I also expect to grow from this class and hopefully come out of it as a more responsible student.
In chemistry this year I plan to get a deeper understanding of the elements and learn how elements react with one another.
To be honest, right now, I feel that I am way behind in Science in general right now. This week has been very overwhelming. I have realized that I am going to have to study a lot and take good notes in class to make a good grade in Chemistry. However, I feel like I did good in the lab portions of class. I do better when I am learning hands-on. I have learned a lot about safety in the lab this week, which is a good thing because i would not have known to do half of those safety procedures unless I watched that video. I rate myself a two from this week, mostly because I feel I am so behind from my previous years of Science. The only question I have is that, Are we going to be doing a lot of labs this year, or was this week to make sure we knew what we are to do when we are in the lab.

In Chemistry I want to gain a better understanding of the world around us and how it operates. And have fun labs.
