Scientists have discovered that losing your smell due to covid may last years. Leora Horwitz is working with her team to determine the details of this. Once this study is resolved it will be easier for scientists to prevent this loss of a crucial sense.
Scientists at the University of Chicago found a mutation in the CPD gene that can cause hearing loss by disrupting how the ear’s sensory cells use certain chemicals like arginine and nitric oxide. Their research showed that restoring arginine levels or using sildenafil helped damaged ear cells survive and improved hearing in lab models.
I’ve been struggling with procrastination. Moreover, I believe I will have the time to get homework done for chemistry and other classes, but I sometimes underestimate the work and have to sacrifice study time for the quiz Wednesday. Therefore, I am doing my web post now to hel me later in the week.
on the chapter one test today i feel like i would rate myself 3/5. I exceeded in learning the vocabulary of this chapter, and understanding the properties of substances. Although, i still didn’t think i put enough time into studying the other abilities i was suppose to use for this test and will improve in giving myself more time to study and comprehend it.
I would rate chapter 1 test for me a 2/5 I tried a new way of studying and I am not sure that it was helpful for me because I felt like the information stuck better but I did not know how to apply any of it. Next time I will re watch more of Ms. Skinners vodcast to know how to really apply the infomation instead of just re-writing my notes.
I rate myself a 3/5 on the chapter 1 test. Something I did well and would repeat was studying the material on the sample test thoroughly. Something I didn’t do well and that I would change would be studying all the material of chapter 1 so I wouldn’t miss anything and be definite of my answers on the test.
I reread through the notes and while i read, i would say examples and how to apply the knowledge; next time i want to give myself more time to be more familiar with the information before studying.
R- I rate myself a 3/5 based on studying and learning to apply onto the Chapter 1 Test. I reviewed discussion questions and made sure I could correctly answer them and apply them. But, I can do better about studying ahead of time for the next test which would help improve my grade.
On this past test I rate myself a 4/5, based on my studying and application on chapter 1. I learned my notes and how to apply them but I still go tripped up on the test on some subjects. Overall, to prepare better I think I can really lock in on my application part of studying and it will help me improve my test taking and grade.
I rate myself a 3/5 on the Chapter 1 test. I studied and looked over all my notes, however; I need to start studying earlier. Next time I will start studying in advance and make sure I know all the material and can apply it.
I rate myself a 3/5 on the chapter 1 test. Something I did well and would repeat was studying my flash cards and the sample test. What I didn’t do well and that I would change would be studying more parts of chapter 1 so I wouldn’t miss anything small.
I rate the test a 3.
I did not study enough, that was 100% my fault. I will do better. I still felt like I understood the basic concepts of most of it, from what I did study. I definitely think what I have to work on is spreading my studying out over several days, not trying to cram at 9pm on a sunday before a monday test.
On the Chapter 1 Test, I thought I did well on studying in advance. I usually cram the night of, but I did a better job about spreading my study out. Something I need to improve on is applying what I studied. I felt like I knew the material decently, but not enough to be able to apply it. Next test I will make sure to know ALL the material thoroughly and be able to apply it.

I rate my Chapter 1 test performance a 3/5 because i know i could have studied better and learn better. i ended up cramming most of it last minute because i have been stressed all week. Next test i will study long before and get everything right.
I rate my Chapter 1 test performance a 2.5/5. I rated it this because I did not do a great job of studying in advance. I did i decent job of memorizing the material, but I did not do a great job of actually applying the material. Moving forward I definitely need to start studying earlier than I did.
