The article discusses how science museums used to display dioramas—those cool, lifelike scenes with animals and nature—to teach people about the world. But now, with all the new technology and interactive exhibits, some folks wonder if dioramas are still relevant. Even so, many museums keep them because they’re like art and still help people learn about nature.

Northern sea robins are fish with a unique characteristic. The fish have legs that are not used to travel or for defense. However the legs actually have mouths that dig in the sand to find and eat crabs and other crustaceans.

A new study reveals that rivers may have been operating on a global scale around 3.5 billion years ago, based on changes in rock chemistry found in ancient rocks from China and South Africa. This shift suggests the emergence of continental landmasses and the beginning of weathering processes that delivered nutrients from land to oceans, potentially supporting early life in waters.

Scientists have discovered a new color of the northern lights, and they are still researching what they are. After looking through a lot of photos taken of the aurora borealis, they have concluded that it comes from a fast stream of plasma. Research is still continuing on this, so we don’t know for sure yet how this is happening and why we have only just now noticed it.

Studies show that namibia baboons are more interested in looking in the mirror that the red laser dot on there face this shows they are not self aware. This is interesting because chimps and orangutans will worry about the red dot. This shows the difference in self awareness in animals.

Scientists have recently discovered a substance similar to spider mans web fluid. While developing an underwater adhesive, Marco Lo Presti accidentally mixed his substance with the fluid he was using to clean. He noticed his mixture had turned solid. By adjusting the recipe for this substance they can use this for purposes such 3D printing and more sustainable glues.

this article is about scratching itches and the pain it can cause. scratching an itch and lead to painful inflammation and can cause scars. not scratching an itch can help it heal and can help it become less irritated. https://www.sciencenews.org/article/scratching-itch-good-bad
Researchers found that airplanes can boost their performance by mimicking bird wings. They added flaps to the airplanes by converting feathers to an airfoil. Inspections showed that bird inspired flaps reduced stall and improved stability to the planes.

sharks have a reputation of eating anything available but in French Polynesia, blacktip reef sharks that are frequent in places where tourists toss them low-quality scraps are negatively affected their health.

Climate change has caused there to be more rats in cities. Researchers are collecting data on how much money cities lose when killing the rodents, but with climate change this money is going to increase.

In LA, there have been rapid, massive wild fires across the city. The most reasonable and possible explanation is human-made climate change. Their dry, hot, windy climate made a huge impact because there is very little rain to help this problem. These fires have killed around 28 people and 16,000 structures were destroyed.

Researchers have recently found why we feel even more bored when we scroll through videos. They found that when we fast forward or skip a video, it is because we do not take the time to engage in the video and move on, therefore increasing how bored we feel.

Researchers have learned that baboons do not recognize themselves in mirrors with other apes do. The researchers place a dot on the ape and baboons don’t realize that it is itself own reflection. These findings help prove that self awareness may be a spectrum.

By the time humans reach 100 for our cells to keep up, however this differs in animals based on things like size and habitat. For example naked mole rats can live up to 40 years because of lack of pressure pertaining to breeding. This is because they rare pop their heads up from the ground making it difficult for predators to find.

This source explain how while monkeys were looking at their own reflection in a mirror, they didn’t notice a laser being pointed at their face. In conclusion, many different types of moneys have a very low sense of self awareness because of their no reaction to the laser while many other animals do react when a laser is being pointed at them, giving them a higher sense of self awareness.

Scientists have began research indicating that as cities get hotter; rat population increases. They tested 13 cities over the span of 16 years and showed that with climate change steering towards heat in all cases rat population increases.

Scientists have discovered that hearing and seeing work together in most people’s brains. They also found that people can make sense of the world in many different ways.

Naked mole rats can live up to 40 years of age living in underground social groups similar to other animals that live in nests or hives. They live this long because they rarely pop their heads out of their holes for predators to eat.

On a scale of 0-5 stars, I have been a solid 2 stars in Chemistry class. My test score from the previous test makes my stars low; however, my understanding of the new unit keeps me from being 0 stars.
I would rate myself a 3/5 stars this week. I would rate myself this way because I prepared for my test very well and in advance, however, I probably could have studied more. I think I did well on the test.
I would rate this week so far as a 4/5 stars. This is because me and my lab partner did well on preparing for our lab today, and writing the formulas. Overall I think my test went good, but I think I messed up on the formulas.
So far this week I would give myself a 4/5 stars because I did well on my test, but I have struggled with getting my homework done on time. I still procrastinate when it comes to homework and studying, but I was able to apply the information I learned from the last chapter unto the test.
I would rate myself a 3/5 stars so far because I studied much harder and in different ways for the test that we took Monday and I felt like I knew the information much better. Although I may not have done amazing, I expect it to be significantly better than my past test grades.
I would rate myself four out of five stars. I rated myself four stars because I did well on my chemistry test even though I started to run out of time. I am still struggling with time on my tests, but on this test, I did a much better job of pacing myself.
