CHEMISTRY – Hey guys, so is all the info on SI measurements starting to come back to you? Here’s the lecture from Thursday. I’m sure it’s mostly review from your physical science days, but it’s a great opportunity to refresh what you’ve learned and to get ready to begin using it! We’ll do derived units tomorrow. And just in case I didn’t tell you, great job on your safety projects!!
Why was the name of units for the thermometer changed three times?
Brandon – Not really changed, just three different people had their own ideas of how it should be done. Just like things work in our world today! 🙂
I learned alot about the SI measurements today in class
I learned alot today reguarding the SI units in class but what is density again?
I think that I like the SI units better than the units that we use in America.
I am looking forward to learning more about the SI measurements tomorrow.
When do we need to heve the SI chart memorized by?
Kaylee – Probably Monday. 🙂
Will we be having a quiz over the SI chart?
Cayla – Most likely on Monday. I’m just sayin’. 🙂
All these units stuffed into one week is a little overwhelmig. I hope I catch on soon! 🙂
Ashley – You’ll get it! 🙂
How can water be more dense when it is a liquid than when it is a solid?
I think it’s crazy how FAST light travels! It really occured to me today how fast it traveled when we talked about how fast light travels in a meter. It’s pretty cool!
accidentally put post on wrong class. sorry ms. skinner. but do look forward to the oobleck lab tomorrow.
Phillip – Can you do the Oobleck lab Monday or Tuesday? Give me a heads up so I can get everything ready for you.
The SI Units are very interesting. I love the lesson we had today. It was very cool!
I remember some things about the SI unit from Physical Science but i have been excited to learn more about it in your class this week!(:
Kimberlee – That’s great! And Mrs. Johnson will be very proud of you!! 🙂
I didn’t know a kilogram could be so valuable.
why do we use Kelvin instead of Celsius and Fahrenheit?
Kelsey – Because its the only one that has a true zero. You’ll get to learn more about it a bit later! 🙂
When will we find out what we made on our lab safety project?
Hey Mrs. Skinner
When are we going to have to know the SI unit system?
Clarissa – You need to know the SI prefixes and the four fundamental quantities and their units and the four derived quantities and their units. Good luck learning them! And I’ll be praying for your family as you go to your aunt’s funeral!!
what charts do we need to know by monday
Ashley – You need to know the SI prefixes and the four fundamental quantities and their units and the four derived quantities and their units. Good luck learning them!!
I thought the oobleck was really cool!
Alison – Me too! Think we should make another pool of it? 😉
do we have a test next week on the SI system?
Ms. Skinner,
Awesome fun first week of labs and lecture! When’s our first test?
after todays lesson im starting to remember alot of the things i learned in physical science.
Ally – That’s great! Mrs. Johnson will be very glad!! 🙂
How long do we spend on each chapter?
Had a great time in class this week!
Natalie – Great! Me too!! 🙂
It’s interesting to know that SI measurements are used all around the world. Makes things simple. (somewhat)
When is our next test?
Dylan C C-1 when is our next test
when is our next test?
