My triumph this week is doing all my homework. I felt really comfortable with what we learned this week.
My triumph this week was being able to keep up with all the math we did in class. I triumphed in this because when I got home I would go straight to doing practice problems over and over again until I got three in row correct.
My triumph this week was the chemistry lesson. I fell like i learned it well with all of the practice and homework we did.
My triumph this week was being able to do the math. I feel as though I grasped the information well and will be able to use it in the future.
My triumph this week is finally getting to school on time on the last day
How do you find the molecular formula? You take the empirical formula and multiply it by “x”. How do you find the “x” you may ask? Well you take the mass of the compound and divide it by the mass of the empirical formula. You then take the answer from “x” and multiply the empirical formula by the X answer.
How do you find the formula in a percentage? You first change the percentage to grams out of a 100. Than you put it into a q formula so that you can convert the grams into moles. Once there you take the smallest amount of moles and divide the rest by it and round it to the closest number and that tells you how many of that element is in the formula.
What is the difference between polymers, monomers, and copolymers? Polymers are long chains of repeating links. Many units of monomers create a polymer. Copolymers are units made of more than one monomer.
Why would metals at the bottom of the activity series be found commonly in nature while the metals at the top are rarely found in nature?
This is the case because metals found at the bottom of the activity series are fairly unreactive, therefore it would not react with anything in nature, while metals at the top are extremely reactive and would react with elements found in nature.
What is molar mass used for? Molar mass is used to convert from moles to grams for any given substance.
How do you find the molecular formula?
First you have to find the empirical formula, then you multiply the empirical formula by X to get the empirical formula.
Can you go from grams to molecules?
No, you have to go grams to moles to molecules.
What makes up polymers?
Answer- monomers
