PHYSICS – Hey guys, great job today on the intro to vectors – graphical vector addition, resultants, and the like. Have you done anything like this before? Great start today! Don’t forget your protractor and graph paper!

The lab this week taught me that real-world data will not always be easy to work with or accurate. However, despite the inaccuracies, I need to know how to use this “bad” data and how to learn from the lab. Lab data is not always nice and pretty so I need to know how to use data that isn’t very accurate. We also could have planned for maximum efficiency which would have eliminated all the extra time it took us to finish the lab.
This week has been fun as well as a little frustrating. While the lab we got to do was fun, I had to learn to be okay with taking a step back and allowing someone else to do work and I had to be okay that it wasn’t exactly how I would have done it. The lab report will be challenging to write up because I know it will be fun. This week was also super fun though because we learned about vectors and how to add them and put them together. I am excited to see how we continue to learn about them.
The velocity/breaking distance lab this week was fun but also time-consuming, showing me that designing and performing a lab with minimal directions can be challenging. When analyzing the data for the lab report, I realized how inconsistent it is and that it would be difficult to work with. However, I merely have to address this error in the lab report and learn how to work with the data; data derived from real experiments is not always accurate and I will inevitably have to find a way to obtain results using inaccurate/inconsistent data if the experiment cannot be redone.
This week was interesting to say the least. The lab with the car kind of scared me to be honest. I thought I was going to get T-boned in the parking lot. Plus the data was very very inaccurate. But it helped me learn that our data won’t always be as pretty as we want it to be, and we still have to work with it.
This week procrastination has truly gotten the best of me. I had two labs that I should have done to get ahead but I was super lazy and didn’t touch them at all. I have to get into the mindset of doing my labs within two days of doing them. This may seem a little extreme, but I feel that it would be best for me as an extreme procrastinator because it is fresh on my mind and I can’t forget about it because it was so soon.
