Hon Chemistry 3-27-23 Orbital Notation & Electron Configuration Notation

HON CHEMISTRY: Wow, you did a great job today! Did quantum numbers begin making more sense when you started using them? Good work with orbital notation and electron configuration. I think you’re going to be seeing arrows and numbers in your sleep!

And then, just when you were getting the hang of drawing arrows, I go and change it! But don’t you think writing electron configuration notation is a whole lot shorter than doing orbital notation? Don’t get me wrong, knowing how to do orbital is great for seeing how the electrons are paired, but this way is waaaay shorter!

Be sure and practice with the homework tonight, and don’t forget to use the Aufbau “chart”! Did you figure out the riddle!

  1. This week I triumphed in the lab of Conservation of Mass. The lab went very well and I understood everything completely. I am now in the process of working on the lab report and I am doing great.

  2. This week I triumphed in the lab. I was prepared for it, and I understood what I was doing. My partner and I finished early. I got started early on my lab report too.

  3. This week I triumphed in relating the conservation of mass to real life. While the lab was the easiest way to apply in more mathematically, once we did notes in class I can know how to apply it to similar reactions in the real world, which will help with the test.

  4. this week i triumphed in the lab. i was prepared and i knew what i was supposed to do. me and my partner worked hard and stayed focused.

  5. I triumphed this week in chemistry with the lab. At the start, Madison and I had a struggle getting in the 0.10% error range, but after doing the experiment some, we achieved the goal. The lab was really fun too!
