PHYSICS 11-9-22 Vertical Fish Forces & Forces with Pulleys and Friction

PHYSICS: Not sure if you’d ever find a fish on an elevator, but you sure could treat the problem like it was! Here a look at the fish on a line problem, and then, a different take on forces – an application of horizontal forces, vertical forces, friction, all at once!

Wow! Amazing job solving these problems – can you now go see if you can solve them by yourself?

  1. My struggle this week was learning how to do the pulley problems. I have been getting lost on most of the problems, without knowing much of a direction to go. To help, I will try working my way up with simpler problems with the same concepts. Then I will try to put all of it together.

  2. I rate my week a 5/5. I was really proud of how well I’ve kept up in class. I finally caught up on all my makeup work. I will keep doing my best.

  3. This week I would rate myself 4 out of 5 stars. I have been good about keeping up in class and for the most part, understanding the lesson, but I have been stressed with leaving and getting everything settled before that so I’ve been a little distracted. I will do better by not stressing about getting everything done and trusting that everything will work out.

  4. I will rate myself 4 out of 5 stars. I am able to do the problems but I have been having trouble with the conceptual problems. I will watch Hewitt Drewitt and practice the concept problems to get better with them.
