Chemistry 1-10-22 Percent Composition

CHEMISTRY: Great job today! Way to apply chemistry to your everyday life!!

I think you’ll find that percent composition problems are super easy to catch on to. First, though, be sure you know which “type” of percent composition you’re trying to fine. Also make sure you can write chemical formulas (I won’t give them to you!) and that you’ve memorized the formulas for acids and those chemical names and formulas for common substances. It’s just plug and play from there! 🙂

Physics 1-10-22 Collisions

PHYSICS: Collisions – they’re all around us and they all obey the law of conservation of momentum. Here’s more specific information about the proper way to differentiate and name them.

Great job with the conceptual review and setting up the problems! As you practice tonight, be sure and check for connections between the conservation of momentum and the conservation of energy. 🙂

Hon Chemistry 1-10-22 Single Replacement Reactions & the Activity Series

HON CHEMISTRY: Moving right along with the 17 types of chemical reactions, here are the single replacement reactions – and you also got a head start on the activity series!

This makes 15 reactions so far, and we’ll do the rest tomorrow. Careful though, memorize, but don’t just memorize them. Make sure you can apply them as well. When you start to work any equation, first determine what type of reaction it is, then figure out what rule applies and follow it to determine the products. I believe in you! You can do it!!
