Chemistry 11-18-21 Binary Molecular Formulas

CHEMISTRY: Do you feel like you have letter and numbers swimming in your eyes? This is one of those times that paying attention to details is super, super important! Here’s the lecture from Thursday on writing formulas and names for binary molecular compounds. Part of it’s really similar to what you learned to do for ionic compounds, but another part is totally different. Details!!

Make sure you keep everything straight. Do something that will organize all the information for you, so you won’t get confused. Also, don’t forget the lists you have to memorize – it’s getting larger and larger!! And practice, practice, practice!!!

Need extra practice? Help session??

  1. A triumph for the week is doing the Naming Ionic Compounds lab. I felt like I executed the lab correctly and went through it. I felt confident in my answers and knew them.

  2. A triumph this week was making a 100 on my polyatomic ions quiz. I made flashcards and wrote them down several times each.

  3. My triumph for this week was making a 100 on my polyatomic ions quiz. This was a triumph for me because I studied quizlet, I wrote my ions down, and spoke them aloud to myself. I also studied many days in advance. I was worried I was going to be unprepared.

  4. My triumph this week was understanding how to write chemical formulas and how I understand better was doing extra practice and paying attention in class.

  5. My triumph this week was figuring out how to study for the polyatomic ions quiz. I tried writing the formulas out a bunch of times, and it is what worked for me. It helped me memorize the charges and subscripts of the ions, and it ultimately helped me make a 100.

  6. My triumph for this week was making a 100% on the polyatomic ions quiz. I made a 100% because I studied in many different ways and spent plenty of time studying.

  7. I believe I did very well memorizing the polyatomic ions for the quiz on Tuesday. I did well on it because on Monday, I looked them over on the class website in study hall and wrote them down on a sheet of paper since I didn’t have note cards with me that period. I recited them while not looking at the sheet afterwards. Later that night, I wrote down notecards for the ions and practiced with them the next morning. I ended up making a 100 on the quiz.

  8. My triumph for this week was doing pretty well on my quiz. I did this well because i studied really hard and and made flashcards to make sure i could do my best.

  9. My triumph this week was understanding Binary Molecular Compounds. I achieved this by taking good notes and paying attention in class.

  10. My triumph this week was learning the polyatomic ions. I spent most of this week doing my homework on time and studying during the physics classroom sessions. I also achieved this by paying well attention in class.

  11. My triumph this week would be studying well and getting a good grade on the ions quiz. I studied for about thirty minutes, but was able to recall all the information because I studied more than one way.

  12. My triumph this week was learning the prefix rules well. I payed attention in class and took good notes and was able to follow along better.

  13. My triumph this week was on the chemistry naming practices this week, I struggled and didn’t understand it at first, but I read my notes and kept trying until I got them right!

  14. My triumph this week was doing well in the Polynomial ions quiz. I did this by studying in advance and in a way that is best for me.

  15. My triumph this week was doing well in the Polyatomic ions quiz. I did this by studying in advance and in a way that is best for me.

  16. Something I did well this week was make a 100 on my Polyatomic Ions Quiz. This was because I studied hard and committed the formulas and names to memory.

  17. This week I have really excelled in getting all of my work done. Even though I am very busy, I made the time to do my work completely and on time and also caught up on the day that I missed.

  18. This week I did really well in getting my work turned in on time. Even though I missed a day, I did the homework and prevented myself from falling behind in class. Time management and responsibility helped me keep up with the work this week.

  19. My triumph this week was making a 100 on my polyatomic ions quiz. I made a 100 because I wrote the formulas and names on paper multiple time until I learned them.

  20. My triumph for this week is understanding the polyatomic ions and the prefixes. I achieved this by taking good notes and participating in class. I could have done better on the polyatomic ion quiz though if I had studied more.

  21. I did well with keeping up with my homework and in class assignments while I was not at school. I achieved that by looking at the syllabus and seeing what I needed each day.

  22. I feel that I did very well this week. A triumph of mine, would be my quiz. I made a better grade on my quiz then normal. This was a really great achievement for me, because I have been trying to getu grade up in the class.

  23. My triumph this week was making an 100 on my polyatomic ions quiz. I am pleased with myself because I didn’t just memorize the ions, I learned them.

  24. My triumph this week was doing very well on the ion quiz and trying my hardest to participate in class while learning the different times of ions and there rules . I did those by studying days before hand and fully paying attention in class everyday.

  25. This week my triumph was studying for the ions quiz. I am getting a better understanding on what works for me when i study.

  26. My triumph this week was making a 100 on my quiz the first time. I did this my making sure to use your study tips to write them and say them out loud.

  27. My triumph this week was getting a good grade on my second quiz. I studied a lot more the second time and felt way more confident in my answers.

  28. My triumph for this week was making an A on my ion quiz. I did this by constantly studying the ions over and over again. I also achieved the grade by testing myself until I didn’t miss any.

  29. My triumph this week was understanding the material. I feel this class is getting harder, and I am adapting to it. I learned some of this last year to make it easier.

  30. My triumph for the week was that i made a 100 on my retake on my polyatomic ion quiz I used a new way to study it and it worked in my favor.
