  1. This week I am struggling with memorizing my elements names and symbols that begin with either a T or a P. To overcome this, I will study my quizlet, write out my elements multiple times, and say them to myself repeatedly.

  2. The struggle I’m having this week is the branches of chemistry I get confused on which branch is which.
    The way i will overcome it is more examples the examples that u tell us helps me a lot but on my own I will find more examples for the branches of chemistry.

  3. Something I am struggling with this week, is memorizing the elements. To overcome this struggle, I am trying to look over them every night for a least 20 minutes, and also trying to quiz myself at least once a day.

  4. I struggled this week with learning elements I rembered a lot of then from elementary school but there were some we had never even studied before. I hope to do well on the elements quiz.

  5. This week i struggled with the lab making quantitative and qualitative data. But than I thought outside the box and found all the awnsers I needed

  6. I struggled to make enough observations in the candle burning lab today. I will learn how to make better observations.

  8. This week I struggled with studying for the quiz over the elements and their abbreviations. I can try to prevent this by making study schedules so that I don’t forget or feel overwhelmed.

My struggle this week was with the candle observations we had to make on Thursday; I never managed to make enough to observations within the time limit and I never got around to answering the analysis questions either. I’ve looked into where it went wrong with some help from people I know and I think this struggle can be overcome by practicing going faster on those types of observation sheets, not putting too much time into measuring things for quantitative observations, and generally not overthinking my observations.

  10. My struggle this week was remembering the periodic table elements. The way I overcame this struggle was by using quizlet to help memorize and learn them so I will use them for my whole life.

  11. This week I struggled with studying the 80 elements and learning them. I will overcome this by staying focused on learning and studying them more often.

  12. This week, I am struggling with memorizing the elements. I am going to overcome this by studying harder and making flash cards to learn them better.

  13. My struggle this week has been time management. I constantly put off my homework until the very last minute. To try and remedy this I have been writing reminders on my hands so I remember to do homework.

  15. My biggest struggle this week is studying for the elements quiz. I found myself getting very overwhelmed by the amount of elements we had to learn. I overcame this struggle by dividing the elements into sections and learning one section at a time.

  28. My struggle this week was with really learning and understanding the elements. For next time, I will make sure to study more and make sure I really learn them, not just know them. I will also make sure my lab reports are correct and written correctly.

  29. One thing i struggled with this week was learning the elements. To overcome this i will allow for time for myself to study when we retake the quiz.

  33. I struggled this week with my homework grades in chemistry. On my homework I messed up the format and got a bad grade. I will overcome this by looking back at the guidelines for homework and making sure I do all of them so I can get full credit.

  35. I struggled a lot this week just with being in quarantine and trying to get caught up with my labs and homework. I’m going to get my lab made up missed homework I missed.

  36. Something that I struggled with this week was doing the qualitative and quantitative examples on the candle lighting experiment. I overcame this by thinking of every possible thing that I could observe in the process, which was difficult, but I eventually found enough examples for each section.

  37. I struggled with learning the elements. I felt like my brain couldn’t remember all of them. So I divided them up into two sections to help me learn them faster and easier.

  38. This week I struggled with coming up with quantitative observations in the candle lighting experiment. After deeper thinking and concentration I was able to overcome this.

  39. My deeper thinking is How is plasma works on the sun? I would think it is very cold in space but somehow this ball of charged energy is able to still exist. How is it able to keep that form for so long as well? My answer is that plasma is negatively charged gas. It is in constant “search of another ion. My answer wasn’t completely found in the chapter, but it was a start.
