Chemistry 10-7-21 Graphing with Spreadsheets

CHEMISTRY: Today you are going to learn (or review) how to make graphs using Excel Online.

Here’s the recording from class today. If you were absent, you need to watch the vodcast and make a sample graph along with the recording. If you were in class on Thursday, you’re all good – there is nothing else for you to turn in.

FIRST: You will be doing Exercise 1 with Excel Online. Students can use this for free! Your first step is to go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/education/products/office to sign up for a free Office 365 account with your school email and get FREE access to Microsoft Office products. Using Excel online, you can do this assignment at school or at home and access it with your own computer, tablet, phone, etc.

Checklist for a Good Graph

Excel Online Subscripts & Superscripts: If you ever need to add subscript or superscripts to the axis labels in Excel online, you can copy and paste whatever number you need from this set in to the axis title.

  1. I rate my week a 4/5 it did reallly good on my test I had a really fun time. Learning excel and graphs. I like the graphs it can show u really important data.

  2. I rate myself a 3/5 starts because I could’ve done better on my test, but I did manage to make up all my labs this week.

  3. I rate myself 4 out of 5 stars for keeping up with my work in the last part of the nine weeks. The reason why is that there is always room for improvement and I was able to keep track of all the assignments on the syllabus. I made an effort to watch videos, look at website more often, and make sure my assignments were completed.

  8. I rate myself a 3 out of 5. I understood how to do the graphs and it was pretty easy. I didn’t do as great on my test which is my downfall for this week. I can study more before the next test.

  9. I rate myself 3/5 because I could of done better on my test, but I am getting a lot better better at working graphs.
