Chemistry 8-31-22 Conversion Factor Problems, #50, 68, 91

CHEMISTRY: How are you doing with these longer conversion factor problems? Remember, you’re not just trying to get an answer. Most importantly, you are learning to express a logical progression of thought – from one unit to another. Keep practicing until you can do it by yourself with no help!! Here’s our work on #50.68 and 91.

  1. Application-

One thing from chemistry that I. have tried to apply is to not only listen but participate in a discussion during class.

  2. I am trying to apply to listen more and not only listen but also get more involved in whatever the teacher is teaching so I can learn even more and in life also so my brain is getting more information with me getting involved not only just listening and asking more questions and speaking up more

  3. Application-

I’m going to learn to apply conversion factors instead on looking it up on my phone. Going to use my senses to learn deeper and focus.

  4. Application-
I am trying to apply to listen more and not only listen but also get more involved in whatever the teacher is teaching so I can learn even more and in life also so my brain is getting more information with me getting involved not only just listening and asking more questions and speaking up more

  5. I have been trying to apply whenever something is happening that I don’t understand, try to look it back over and figure it out and then ask for help if I’m not able to figure it out on my own

  6. I am trying to apply the listening skills I’ve learned in chemistry so far. I usually speak or act before listening and thinking about what I’m about to say or do. I’ve learned to listen more and make sure I am doing everything the right way.

  7. I have been applying the thought process of chemistry and how we do a lot of steps and pay close attention to detail. I have started to do it in my everyday life too by thinking over things in other classes and make sure I do things correct and know why it is correct.

  8. This week in chemistry I applied the thought of not just hearing but listing to what I’m supposed to do so I remember how to do it later.

  9. R I rate myself 3 stars for this week. I didn’t do the best this week, because I didn’t do the homework right with the formula. But now I know how to use the formula and calculator correctly and ready for when I can use it on the test.

  10. Application

I have to apply to listen and participate more in chemistry class, because it’s not going to be as easy in chemistry than in the next month. Also apply more to my notes so I can study better for the test.

  11. Application
I think one thing that I have try to apply is to have and try to learn and participate. Also to apply more In studying and hopefully labs.

  12. I can apply the thought process you have to go through to solve problems in chemistry. Also I need to apply participating in class more.

  13. I have been trying to apply the listening and comprehension skills I’ve learned in chemistry so far. I have started writing down everything important and staying very involved with the problems that are gone over in class so I don’t get behind.

  14. Application: I have learned that I need to listen and talk more in class. I can take more notes and have better ways to study. I can also attend the help sessions to learn even more about what I need.

  15. Application- I am attempting apply what is said in class about the difference of listening and learning. Participating in class more is the method of what I am trying to do, and I know I will learn more this way.

  16. I am trying to apply the listening and comprehension skills that I have learned in this class. It teaches me to not just memorize material, but to apply it. This allows me to remember knowledge long term.

  17. My application in chemistry this week was how I take notes. I have started paraphrasing my notes and I’m going to start doing that with my notes in my other classes.

  18. Something I have learned in chemistry is to pay attention closely and listen. I have applied this to my life because I am bad at listening and sometimes it gets me in trouble so that helped me be better at it.

  19. Something I learned this week was that water is less dense as a solid than as a liquid. You can see that this applies in everyday life, such as how ice cubes(a solid) float on water(a liquid).

  20. I am trying to apply not only writing stuff but say these things out loud to engage other ways in my brain to learn. I have really tried to do this in every class to further my understanding of what we are learning.

  21. I am trying apply how I take notes. Not just writing what is on the Powerpoint or in the book, but writing what I need to understand the material. I have tried to do this in other classes as well.

  22. In chemistry I have learned that you learn more by speaking and interacting in class. I can apply this to my life by being more involved in class and speaking up with confidence.

  23. I am trying to apply the methods we learn in class to the questions that Mrs. Skinner gives us for homework so that I will be able to understand what to do on quizzes and tests.

  24. One thing I apply into chemistry is paying attention. I have been paying attention pretty well in class the past week in understanding conversion factors.

  25. Something I have learned in Chemistry is to pay attention closely and take good notes. I have applied this to my life because since I have been paying attention more in my other classes, or even out of school activities, I have noticed that I have gotten better at them.

  26. What i have learned in chemistry is how to figure out how to solve a problem to the. best of my ability when i don’t know how. I have been using at home and in other classes when something happens or i get a weird problem on homework or a test.

  27. I applied what I learned about working longer conversion factors to figure out how many minutes old the world is (for fun). While I probably left out a few factors that would have given me a more accurate answer, I did get an answer out of it (three, according to different theorized ages of the world).

P.s. I know I am turning this post in late, and I am sorry that I did not turn it in when I was supposed to.

  28. I applied what I learned to try to understand something I was trying to buy that had measurements in Metric units so I had to convert it into the metric system so i knew how big everything was.
