Hon Chemistry 8-25-21 Scientific Notation & Conversion Factors

HON CHEMISTRY: Can estimate out how fast you can drive in at least one parking lot in Guatemala – and can you show me how you solved the problem? Even better, can I trust the validity of your work?

Good job on remembering how to use conversion factors! Remember, this isn’t just about getting an answer – some of you can do that in your head. This is about being able to convert from one unit to another using the Q-formula. (And yes, you have to do it that way!)

  1. Triumph- I finished the Measurement Lab on Tuesday with some time to spare. I’m glad I was able to get the work I needed to done in time and efficiently. I did this well because I read the instructions carefully and asked questions when couldn’t figure out how to copy the screen.

  2. This week my triumph was completing those measuring exams. I thought it was pretty easy and enjoyed learning to measure with different tools!

  3. Triumph- I was able to manage my time quite well. I think I did it a lot better because I was more focused on it this week.

  4. My triumph for the week was doing well on the first quiz. I think I did well on the quiz because i studied so hard. The amount of time I copied that chart is kinda sad.

  5. Triumph: I was able to complete another week of chemistry. I was focused and determined and was able to do most of my work because i enjoy it and look forward to what’s to come.

  6. My triumph was making an A on my chemistry quiz. I studied hard and asked my brother to help me until I fully understood the measurements and how to convert them too.
