  1. I would rate myself a 3/5 this week. I feel pretty okay after the test. I’m concerned about getting all of my work for my various classes though. The play has been very tiring and time consuming. Rube has me nervous but we are going to work on it after school today so hopefully that goes well.

  2. I rate myself a 3/5 this week. We finally got Rube to work at the school, but we are still concerned about a few aspects of the machine. Hopefully, it will all end up working out on competition day! I felt ok about the test, but I don’t want to say I felt good about it because that will probably make me do bad. I wish I could have studied more, but I think I did the best I could with what I had. I think I hit the point of exhaustion about a week ago, so I am very excited to be able to rest over the weekend! I am really excited to get the lab reports and extra credit done so I can be officially done with physics assignments!

  3. This week I rate myself a 3.5/5. This week has been very stressful because of the project. It was very frustrating when it wouldn’t work, but luckily we got it to work at the school. I am excited about the competition on Monday, and I hope everything works on it then! I feel like I did okay on the test. I didn’t have much time to study in advance because of the project, but I feel that I studied as much as I possibly could. I am excited for the weekend so I can finally rest. Although we have lab reports to do, I hope to finish those tonight so I don’t have to rush when finishing them. Overall, this has been a very stressful last week, but I am ready for classes to be over and graduate.

  4. I rate myself a 3/5 this week. I felt aptly prepared for the test, even though the multiple choice made me nervous. I am also nervous about Rube, but we have been working really hard on it so I hope it pays off. The lab this week seemed very complicated at first, but once we did it with the pipe, it got a lot easier. The lab was really fun once we got the hang of it. Overall, this week has been very stressful, but I’m glad it’s almost over.

  5. This week I would rate myself a 3/5. I feel like I did pretty well on the test, but I also could’ve done terrible. The main reason I am giving myself a lower rating is because of our Rube Goldberg project. My group has worked extremely hard to try to finish the project, but we are still encountering problems that we have not been able to solve. Our project is very complex, and because of that, many of our steps are often failing. I am very very worried that we will not be able to make the project work by next week, and I am scared that a poor grade could significantly affect our averages.

  6. I’m gonna rate myself a 3/5 this week. I am so glad that we managed to finish our Rube Goldberg machine and managed to make it work. I also think that I did extremely well on the test as well as the lab. All that is left is the competition and the labs

  7. During this year in physics, I have learned how to better myself for college. This year, physics has pushed me into time constraints that I did not think I would be able to meet. I learned that I need to prepare ahead of time for due dates or things to get done early so that I am not rushing to finish. Also, I learned that I am better at problem-solving, especially with design challenges, than I thought I was at the beginning of the year. Physics has taught me that life will be challenging, but that I can accomplish anything if I set my mind to it. For future physics students, I suggest that they get everything done like lab reports as soon as they are assigned. I suggest this because you will often forget the procedure of the lab which makes it harder to write. Also, future students need to get everything done when it is assigned because if not, they will be rushing to finish everything on time. I hope that future physics students know the extra time and effort that this class takes, and I hope that they are better prepared for it than I was at the beginning of the year. Lastly, I advise those future physics students to be patient and learn about themselves throughout the year to better prepare themselves for college. I would have learned the concepts of physics better this year if we had explained the “why” behind them. Most concepts we went through the definitions, but we never explained the “why” in detail for discussion questions about that certain topic. Another way to improve learning would have been to do more activities at the beginning of the year concerning what we learned in the chapter. Overall, I learned a lot from physics this year, and I feel as though this class has better prepared me for college in the fall.
