Hon Chemistry 3-26-21 Bohr vs. Quantum Model of the Atom

HON CHEMISTRY: I figured anybody who ditched his honeymoon to finalize his work on atomic theory deserved to have his picture on our website.

Here are some of the video clip that begin to show the connection between our lab on spectroscopy, the hydrogen emission spectrum, and how we can identify elements – including the one from today on why it’s all important. They’ll be very helpful as you study!!

The Electromagnetic Spectrum (not the song!)

Animated Quantum Video is the one that explains all about why scientists began to believe that electrons could be acting as waves

  1. My goal for the 4th term is to minimize how many little mistakes I make on tests and quizzes I plan to do this by making sure to study well beforehand and to get good sleep and be fully awake and energized to take each test.

  2. My goal this quarter is to not procrastinate. I will accomplish this by spacing out my work and setting goals for when I want to finish things.

  3. my goal for this final nine weeks is to finish with an a and have good time management. with the final average, i will work to have good detailed notes and be as best prepared for the test as i can. i hope to be efficient with my work and certainly spread out the work for the project and work ahead whenever i can. for this nine weeks i will strive to do the best i can and the best of my ability so that i don’t stress and have to work extra to pull up my grade.

  4. My goal for the 4th quarter is to not have to rush the project. I will accomplish this by setting deadlines for myself to have certain tasks some by. I will also start this weekend and hopefully have a good start.

  5. My goal for the 4th nine weeks is to have better time management, especially for tests and the project. I will do this by spacing out my work and my studying rather than trying to get all of it done at once.

  6. For this last nine weeks, my goal is to put all my hard work and effort in to the project. I also need to keep up the task of thoroughly focusing on labs and lab reports. To do these things, time management is key, and I will have to balance all my time very carefully to fully achieve my goals.

  7. My goal for the fourth nine weeks is to study better for tests and properly prepare for the chemistry project. I plan to do this through setting aside time each day to work on my project and also studying earlier for any upcoming tests instead of procrastinating.

  8. My goal for this term is to work harder and more efficiently than I have this whole school year. Specifically, I need to work on my procrastination. Especially with the project, it will be crucial for me to manage my time and to work diligently this term. I will eliminate any distractions that prevent me from being efficient, and I plan on working on the project everyday. By doing so, I hopefully will be able to reduce any stress as well.
