Physics 2-24-21 Pascal’s Law

PHYSICS: Did you realize that fluids could produce that much force? Make’s you wonder at the awesome way God designed those beautiful under water sea creatures to withstand so much pressure, doesn’t it? This little creature is a lionfish from the waters of Lembeh, Indonesia.

Here’s the lecture on Pascal’s law and hydraulics and the like.

  1. This week I rate myself a 4/5. I understood all of the notes on the new chapter this week, but one of the longer problems on the homework did not make sense to me. It was very hard to understand the process of how to get the correct answer. Once I know how to correctly work the long problems, I plan to work them multiple times to understand the formulas involved. Also, I really enjoyed the labs this week. The labs helped my understanding of the concepts in this chapter and how density, depth, and gravity all relate to pressure. I plan to continue reviewing the concepts and problems for the test next week to prepare myself. Overall, this has been a really good week, and I have enjoyed the material we have been learning.

  2. I’m gonna give myself a 3/5 this week. I really like the fluid mechanics that we already learned. But I’m more excited to plan our little t bot movie lab. I also can’t wait to see my test grade.

  3. I rate myself a 3/5 this week. I think I understood the concepts pretty well this week, but I definitely need to keep reviewing them so I can reinforce my current knowledge. I also did well on the simpler problems, but I did have trouble figuring out the more complicated problems, so once I find out how to work those complicated problems, I am going to work them multiple times to make sure I will be able to do it on the test. I hated not being able to participate in labs, so I am very excited to be back to school next week!

  4. I rate myself a 3/5 this week. The concepts have been pretty decent to grasp and the labs have been fun. I’m a little worried about the Tbot lab but I also think it’s going to be really fun. I need to continue working on the problems over the weekend in preparation for the test next week.

  5. This week I rate myself a 5/5. The main reason is the basketball game tonight! GO TROJANS! I also fixed that crazy tbot so now my lab group can get our project done. Overall, a pretty good week.

  6. This week, I rate myself a 3/5. The beginning of the week was stronger because of notes. I understood the concepts and got ahead on my homework for the week. It started to go downhill at the lab today. We didn’t have a strong plan and the plan that we did have was more harder than we thought it would be. I am very grateful for the extended time to do the lab on Monday so we can come up with a plan this weekend. I forgot about Science in the News, but luckily I had already done it last week.

  7. This week I would rate myself a 4/5. I feel like I understood the concepts of our homework and lessons, and I got number 33 (big mama extra large) yesterday. However, I struggled a bit with the T Bot lab, and I am scared that our group won’t be able to accomplish everything.
