Hon Chemistry 1-13-21 Double Replacement & Combustion Reactions

HON CHEMISTRY: You realize what we did? We finished all 17 types of reactions today!

Are you working on memorizing all 17 types of reactions?! But don’t just memorize them. Make sure you can apply them as well. When you start to work any equation, first determine what type of reaction it is, then figure out what rule applies and follow it to determine the products. I believe in you! You can do it!! (and yes, I realize I am repeating myself, but I do and you can!)

  5. My triumph this week being able to go to bed early everyday. I accomplished this by doing my homework earlier in the day. Also, coffee in the morning and midday helps me feel more motivated to do work.

  6. My triumph for this week is that I have been able to memorize the different types of reactions without having to cram the night before. I accomplished this by completing my homework early and by taking good, detailed notes on the lectures in class.

  7. My triumph this week is staying on top of homework which allowed me to go to sleep and relieve stress. I accomplished this by doing homework as soon as I could instead of putting it off as well as by keeping good record of the homework that was due each day so I was not caught off guard at any point.

  14. My triumph this week was recalling various chemical formulas while balancing equations. I did not have to look up every single formula because I had not simply memorized them for last semester, but memorized and retained them.

  15. My triumph from last year was finding a good way to memorize my 17 rules for chemical equations. I believe I this because I prepared well in memorizing them especially before the quiz. I believe that because of how much I prepared recalling these from this point on will be extremely easy.

  16. My triumph this week was being able to manage my time efficiently. I started on my homework immediately, and I was able to apply the new concepts correctly.
