Physics 11-19-20 The Work Energy Theorem & Conservation of Energy

PHYSICS: See?! I wasn’t kidding about the balancing rocks movement!

Great job today on making connections between work and energy! I think you’ll like using the work-energy theorem, it’ll save you some time and a couple of steps. Don’t forget about friction!

  1. I rate myself a 3/5 this week. I had a little trouble getting the hang of work and energy at first, but I think I’m starting to form a better understanding of it all! I’m very grateful that we didn’t have much homework this week because I have noticed that I’m starting to get a little burnt out. I’m so thankful that we’re now on Thanksgiving break, but I have a feeling I will struggle to force myself to watch the vodcast from today since I was gone

  2. I rate myself a 3/5 this week. I really enjoyed the design challenge. It was a nice change of pace and was pretty fun. I think I mostly understand this new chapter but I did have trouble on some of the problems. These past two weeks have been really long so i’m excited for this break. see y’all in a week 🙂

  3. This week I rate myself a 4/5. It was a fantastic week overall, especially with physics. The only difficulty I had is with the new formulas but I think I just need to write them down and make sure I understand them. I had a math test that I don’t think I did too hot on, thus the 4 instead of a 5. Other than that, a pretty solid good week. Have a happy Thanksgiving TSkin!

  4. This week I rate myself a 3.5/5. I understood the concepts we learned this week, but I struggled on some of the harder homework problems. During class, I understood what we were doing and why we were doing it which really helped me understand the homework. In order to fully understand this chapter as a whole, I plan to work problems that I have trouble with until I can figure out how to do the problem to get the correct answer. Although I understood the concepts, I feel that by studying them more I will do better on the problems. Overall, this was a good week, and I really enjoyed what we have begun learning about.

  5. I gotta give myself a 4/5 this week for my performance. The test was certainly not something I feel like a did badly on, because I knew what to do on every problem. Whether or not I executed the formulas correctly is still a mystery. It’s been a long while since I added this many formulas to my card. I’m still trying to fully understand the difference between work and force. Overall, the week was very good, and I look forward to week of nothing but relaxation.

  6. This week I would rate myself a 2/5. I am extremely disappointed in my performance on the test because of my poor time management. I understood the concepts of the last chapter, but I was too slow on the problems. At this point in chapter 5, I feel like I understand the concepts, but I am nervous that I might not do as well on this test. Hopefully with more problem practice I will be able to do well on our next test.
