Chemistry 11-18-20 Chemical Formulas with Polyatomic Ions

CHEMISTRY: Great job today! Do you understand better now? Remember it’s like baby steps, first binary ionic compounds, and now, formulas with polyatomic ions. Begin learning how to do them now! And practice, practice, practice!!

Speaking of – how are you doing with polyatomic ion memorization? Have you learned them for…ever?

Another great idea, click here for a copy of the Hints for Naming Chemical Formulas Flow Chart, or find it under the Worksheet/Handouts Tab. Follow it every time you name chemical formulas!!

  1. I did really well on the polyatomic ion memorization quiz because I prepared for the quiz days before the quiz, not just the night before.

  2. My truimph this week in chemistry was making an A on both of my polyatomic ion quizzes. I did well on both of these quizzes because I studied a little each night for a couple days instead of studying all of them the night before.

  3. My triumph this week in chemistry is completing the chemical formula practice 1 & 2. I have struggled to stay organized and caught up and I finally got everything together by getting those finished.

  4. My triumph this week is completing my chemical formula practice 1 & 2. I have struggled with staying organized and caught up while being out. After finishing these I have gotten everything finished. I’ll continue to stay organized by adding reminders to my planner.

  5. My triumph this week was passing both the polyatomic quizzes and fixing the lab report. If you didn’t show us our corrections I probably would’ve made the same grade because I still had the same mistakes.

  6. My triumph this week was managing staying organized while I was online for two days. I wrote everything down in my planner in order to remember it all.

  7. My triumph this week was making sure I got whatever we did in class done and not having to make anything up or get behind. also I was not late to class at all 🙂

  8. My triumph this week was doing really well on both ployatomic ions quizzes. I was already prepared before we got the extension so it only increased my confidence in my ability to know them well.

  9. My triumph this week was my quiz grades on the polyatomic ions. My mom and friends helped me study beforehand and I remembered everything except the charges for a couple.

  10. my triumph this week was my two polyatomic ion quizzes. i did very well and i was nervous that i didn’t but i studied ahead of time for them and ended up doing well.

  11. my triumph this week was my two polyatomic ion quizzes. i did very well and i was nervous that i didn’t but i studied ahead of time for them and ended up doing well.

  12. My triumph for this week was doing good on my second polyatomic ion quiz. I prepared myself better than I did for the first one.

  13. My triumph for this week was doing well on both my polyatomic ions quizzes. I studied days before we had the quiz and prepared well for both.

  14. My triumph this week was getting through online learning in Chemistry. Yes it was hard but I prepared myself to get through it.

  15. My triumph of the week was making it through online learning. It was way more difficult i just had to be more organized and be on top of things.

  16. My triumph this week was getting good grades on the polyatomic ions quiz. I studied several weeks in advance through this.

  17. My triumph this week was my second polyatomic ions quiz. I did better on that one than the first since I caught my small mistakes that cost me on the first.

  18. My triumph this week was that I discovered that I need to study differently. While my grades weren’t that good, I’m glad I found out now instead of exam week.

  19. This week I feel I did best in studying for quizzes and understanding the lessons. I studied in advance and practiced naming and using chemical formulas multiple times this week.

  20. My triumph for the week is completing the polyatomic ion practice 1 and 2 in a single class period. I was understanding it easier and faster as I went along.

  21. My triumph for the week is surviving through online classes and making somewhat good grades. Online classes were good but I definitely am better at keeping up with assignments at school.

  22. My triumph this week was turning in my homework today with the help of my extreme speed running skills. I know that sounds minor but I was really worried because my average is not what I’d like it to be right now. I finished my homework in literally under a minute and had time to check it and make sure everything was correct.

  23. My triumph this week was getting good grades on my assessments. I worked hard and studied and was able to do well as a result.

  24. My triumph this week was that I was able to study for the polyatomic ions, even though I didn’t do the best I still did better than I thought I would because they are hard to remember.

  25. My triumph this week was my polyatomic ion quiz grades. I prepared ahead of time like I should of and my grades improved from the last quizzes and tests. I hope to continue to keep my grade up and continue studying like I should.

  26. My triumph this week was improving my polyatomic ions quiz grade. I went from failing the first quiz to acing the second one. I did this by studying beforehand and not only cramming the day of.

  27. My triumph this week was doing relatively well on my polyatomic ions quiz. I studied for the quiz beforehand and studied the correct way for myself. I will continue to study this way in the future so I can make good grades
