HON CHEMISTRY – You’ve learned to gather the “pieces of the puzzle”, now it’s time to put them together so they can have meaning! Here’s our look again at density, and then our overview of direct and inverse proportions. Just brief info for the test for now, and we’ll put it to practice in a couple of activities after the test.

So we finished the chapter today! Ready for the test? As you study, remember, don’t just read your notes – practice your notes, practice the problems, practice the memorization!! By the way have you had a chance to check out the Chapter 2 Stuff to Know sheet and the chapter 2 study suggestions sheet? They are under the Test Info tab.

  1. I would rate myself 4 stars for this week. Learning at home is harder than learning at school, and I tend to be distracted more easily. That said, I worked ahead of time and was able to do well on the homework, so I gave myself 4 stars.

  2. I would rate myself 4 stars this week. I have done well on the assignments this week, but there is still room for improvement :).

  3. I would rate myself 3 stars this week. I was able to finish all my assignments well before they were due and did well on all of them, but my attention was not fully focused on school and learning during class.

  4. I would rate myself 4 stars this week I have done much better with organization and knowing what work is due when as well as staying focused in class and not getting distracted on my phone.

  5. I rate myself 4 stars. This week, I truly understood the Q formula and Density. I even changed the way I work my math problems because of how we work problems in Chemistry. However, I have procrastinated really bad this week, which I know I can improve upon.

  6. I would rate myself this a week a 4/5. Even though this week was short, I was able to figure out what I was doing wrong on my problems and remind myself not to do that on the next homework or the test. Also, I learned the valuable skill of going to help sessions whenever they become available as they are great tools.

  7. I would rate myself 4 stars on the week. I turned in all my assignments and did good on all the homework and worksheets, but i could always practice more.

  8. I would rate myself a 4/5 stars for this week. I turned in all of my assignments on time and did well on my quizzes this week. However, I need to get better checking my homework for formulas or simple mistakes before I turn things in.

  9. I would rate myself 2 because even though I turn in all my assignments on time, I was procrastinating more than I should have and I was not as organized as I should have been this week.

  10. I would rate myself 3 stars based on this week. I turned in everything on time and paid better attention in class, but I did not manage my time well. I need to get better at doing things ahead of time rather than waiting until very late at night to complete my work.

  11. I’d give myself a 3 because, while I did well on assignments, I did not pay attention to the zoom meetings. When teachers would give us time to work on an assignment in class and end the meeting, I often wouldn’t do the assignment in the time allotted because I didn’t like the feeling of being limited on time. I much prefer the way remote learning was done 4th quarter last year.

  12. I would rate myself 4 stars this week. With remote learning, I found myself getting distracted easily; however, I did not procrastinate as much this week. I completed all of my assignments earlier than usual, and I was able to utilize this extra time to start studying for the test.

  13. I would rate myself a 2/5 because this week I did all my assignments but I keep procrastinating and did not prepare enough for my classes as I should have. But I did start to make lists of my homework and that seems to be helping some.
