Hon Chemistry 8-19-20 Wrap up of the Scientific Method

HON CHEMISTRY – Great wrap up of the scientific method today! I loved how you were able to apply what you knew about controlled experiments to Question 5 from the homework! Great practice for the test!

Speaking of using the scientific method, tomorrow you’ll be using what you know to explore Oobleck! Make sure you print and read the Oobleck lab sheet and bring it to class Thursday. If you can’t print, be sure and write all the questions down on notebook paper so you’ll be ready to answer them. This is your only homework for Wednesday night.

Don’t forget that we’ve moved everything on the syllabus back a day. That means what’s on the syllabus for Thursday is now moved to Friday and what’s on the syllabus for Friday is now moved to Monday. Watch the beginning of the vodcast below for more information.

  1. This week I had a triumph. I was able to stay on top of my work and make it through the first full week. I really enjoyed my first week in physics and just in school in general. After so long being away, its nice being able to see familiar faces.

  3. I struggled with getting back into my normal school schedule. I plan on waking up earlier and preparing myself the night before.

  4. My triumph of the week is that fact that i’ve made it through the first full week of school without crying. That may seem silly but last time I started a year in Mrs. Skinner’s room (throwback to honors chem) I had already cried once by this time. On a slightly more serious note, I’m proud of how i’ve handled getting back into the swing of things after so long without in person school. I’ve managed to make it to school on time, not forget anything (significant that is) at home, and stay on top of my work so far. I’d call that a triumph for me.
