Chemistry – Types of Chemical Reactions for 5/4/20

CHEMISTRY: So maybe balancing equations isn’t exactly like this, but…..

Here are the notes on the types of chemical reactions, but first we begin with hints for balancing equations. How are you doing with them?

The lesson is below but to get you started, here’s a link to the “blue flame thrower” video I was talking about in the lesson the other day. What happens when diethylzinc is exposed to air? Click here to watch. Good stuff! Blue Flame Thrower

  1. 1. Chemistry helped me grow by challenging my study methods. I learned that it doesn’t matter what my grade is as long as I do my best/
    2. the advice I would give other students is: It doesn’t matter what your letter grade is as long as its your best and do ALL OF THE BONUS MATERIAL it doesn’t matter if you “don’t need it” do it any way and MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE that your web posts post.
    3. Look over the notes that I took every day so I won’t feel overwhelmed when I have to study for the test.

  2. 1. Chemistry helped me grow by making me push myself harder. I learned that I need to do stuff ahead of time instead of waiting until the last minute.
    2. Don’t ever give up. Keep working hard and trust that God will help you in difficult situations, and always ask questions if you are stuck. Plan ahead do not wait until the day before to do important things.
    3. Sometimes I felt like were going a little fast at some points, but other than that it was good.

  3. 1. It helped me become more confident in myself and helped me know I can do anything.
    2. Listen to everything and read all directions and don’t wait till last minute on things.
    3. More one on one maybe
