Physics 1-8-20 Collisions

PHYSICS: Collisions – they’re all around us and they all obey the law of conservation of momentum. Great job with the conceptual review and setting up the problems! Be sure and check for connections between the conservation of momentum and the conservation of energy. 🙂

Speaking of conceptual topics, how are you doing with understanding the relationship between force and time? Let’s see if you can put it to practice tomorrow!

  1. This week I would rate myself a 4/5. I did pretty well with keeping up with schoolwork, all things considered. I really enjoyed the lab! The problems are a bit confusing, but I’m getting along. My other classes are fine. I probably could put more effort in to school, but I think it’s important not to overwork yourself! Can’t wait for summer!!!

  2. This week I would give myself a 5/5. Probably my best week of physics yet. I worked ahead and familiarized myself with the material ahead of time. The homework was a lot easier because of this even though I forget about directions. Finally, I won a design challenge so my competitive side is happy. Definitely a good week.

  3. This week I rate myself a 4/5. I’ve done my homework… even though I didn’t understand most of it… but!! I figured out what I did wrong and am –as we speak– correcting it! My team did well in the design challenge, despite having issues with aim. But our design was good! And our egg would not have broken if we had been an inch to the left (*ugly sobbing*)
Anyway, I’m workin’ hard instead of hardly workin’, and this is gonna be the year I make an A in Ms. Skinner’s class. I can feel it my Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2 😉

  4. This week I would rate myself a 3/5. The overall work I did would be worthy of a 5/5, but the only reason I rate myself so low is that my team didn’t win the design challenge. And I’m extra mad because I was not the best at aiming the egg which caused our design to get wet. So, when we dropped the egg from the ceiling the design tipped over. So essentially I’m not thrilled.

  5. This was very solid for me. I got my homework done and we did some very fun labs this week! I feel like I’m grasping the concepts well, but I still need some work on the problems. Even though the test is already almost here somehow, I feel like I am in a decent spot to do well on the test!
