Chemistry 12-3-19 Empirical Formulas

CHEMISTRY: So, would you like to be Greg on CSI? Great work with empirical formulas today!

The hardest part is that it’s not a set formula for you to plug and play, but if you’ll keep in mind that you’re really just looking for subscripts which are just moles, you’ll be able to think it through. Percent to mass, mass to moles, moles to smallest whole number ratio.

Let’s crank it up a notch tomorrow! šŸ™‚

  1. I struggled with paying attention but Mrs. Skinner had a godsend of giving us gum to chew on one day, which I continued using on other day somehow helping me stay focused.

  2. I struggled with being able to submit my assignments since my email was taken down, but since the IT department help me get it back I am on top of my assignments.

  3. I struggled with the empirical formulas since I missed that day, but once I went back and watched the vodcast I understand better and get it now

  4. My struggle this week was understanding the empirical formula. But once I figured it out, I can do really well on the molecular formula.

  5. This week, I struggled with remembering all the steps for the formulas we worked this week, but I am working on it by doing practice problems by myself and answering out loud in class.
