Physics 11-1-19 Friction on Inclines

PHYSICS: Who knew snow skiing could be so complicated! Well…friction problems on an incline anyway. Here’s the problem 49 from the homework and then our discussion of friction problems on an incline.

Back to the problems – remember, drawing the diagram is super, super important. Label all the forces and apply the concepts you know about net forces and resultant forces – let it tell you a story. 🙂

  1. This week was a triumph for me. We didn’t have class Monday or Tuesday. So my brain got to rest and recover. Also, Harry and I grinded the labs this weekend and we are done. However, the only bad part of my week is these incline problems. I have a hard time moving the angle around.

  2. This week was a 5/5 again. I have had a solid attitude this week and I had no tests, so I have an all time high morale. Except, I just am getting to the point where I do not want to do homework or any work at all. I’m not in the normal terrible depressed attitude, just a “what’s the point right now” attitude. I decided to not go on the trip so that I can get more sleep and catch up this weekend, so let’s see how that goes.

  3. This week I would rate myself a 4/5. It’s been amazing to have a 3 day week. I’ve been doing pretty well with keeping up with my homework. I’ve slacked in doing my labs, which is really a downside to my week, but considering how my schedule has been, I’m okay with that. I’ve had no tests this week, so NO STRESS! It’s the weekend… YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

  4. This week I rate myself a 3/5. This week has been very light in all of my classes, and it has made me become very lazy. I have had little desire to do my work, and I feel like I will not accomplish very much this weekend. I did well on all my minor assessments this week. I hope to be able to put finishing touches on my labs this weekend and maybe start reviewing for the test. I will consider this weekend a success if I can do those things.

  5. This week was about a 3/5. I’m still getting stuck on quite a few problems BUT I have been able to start figuring them out on their own. I’m also understanding the concepts a lot better! Maybe I’ll be able to conquer the homework over the weekend!
