Physics 9/19/19 Graphical Vector Addition

PHYSICS – Hey guys, great job today drawing motion with vectors – graphical vector addition, resultants, and the like. Have you done anything like this before?

A couple of super important things – GRAPH PAPER(!) and sketch it out before you start so you’ll know where to place the first vector with out running off the page. Also, graphical addition is adding vectors head to tail – then the resultant is found from the tail of the first vector to the head of the last vector. Get the direction by measuring from the tail of the resultant.

  1. This week had many successes for me. I made an ok grade on my test and I understand al of the concepts we learned. The labs we did I understood both the way we were suppose to to them and the purpose of them. This week was pretty neat.

  2. This week has been, surprisingly, a triumph!
I have done all of my homework, I have understood all of the concepts, and, however shocking it may seem, I am actually AHEAD on my work. Much thanks to my amazing mom and her willingness to help me with the things I need help with and provide ways for me to keep myself on task (shout-out to Siteblockr!) and Ms. Skinner for working with me and being understanding of my struggles.

  3. This week was a definite triumph for me. Although, I could have made a higher grade on my test, I am satisfied with it. Also I feel like vectors will come more natural to me than the velocity problems. We did some fun labs this week as well and I feel like I was useful and did my part.

  4. This week was a TRIUMPH! I did great on my physics test and am very pleased with my studying strategy. However, I don’t want to get confident and lose my drive. I need to not stop working and pursuing excellence. Never grow weary in doing good!

  5. So this week I’d rate myself a 4/5. Although I didn’t like my number grade on my test, I tried my best and that’s what matters! Also, I’m understanding vectors very well! Next week, I’ll remember to bring a protractor!
