  1. This week I rate myself a 3.5/5. This week I had a triumph: I was able to get alot of next week’s school work done so that I will not have as much makeup work when we come back after Easter. However, I will still have a ton of work to do when we get back. I am very worried about about managing/balancing my time between the current school/homework we will have, my makeup work, studying for the chemistry test, and working on “The Project.” Any tips?? Please be praying for the Home Missions Class as we serve next week as well as in the following weeks as we complete any missed work.

  2. This week I rate myself a 4/5. I understood the notes, and balancing chemical formulas isn’t actually that bad. I also had a triumph: I was able to complete my homework for the week ahead of time while still understanding it. As well, I studied very hard for the quiz, and I feel like I did really well on it. I am going to start studying in advance for the quiz on Wednesday over the 17 reactions. Overall, this was a really good week, and I am so happy I understood the notes!

  3. This week I would rate myself 3/5. I was not pleased with my test grade because one very simple mistake cost me the grade I wanted. In addition to my subpar test grade, I have really struggled this week with stressing about makeup work. I am missing Thursday and Friday of this week and the entirety of next week. However, instead of working on the chemistry project and my other homework, I have spent a lot of my time stressing about the work. I also forgot to pick up applications for worship team and IBS next year, so I will be struggling to finish all the requirements in order to be able to turn them in when I get back. On the bus ride here to St. Louis, I did begin working on this weeks chemistry by watching both vodcasts and beginning on my homework. However I will have to struggle a bit to be able to work on next week’s work because I can’t go ahead and start on it now. Overall, I think these next few weeks are going to be very stressful, but I am going to work as hard as I possibly can to get everything done.

  4. This week I rate myself a 4.25/5. I came into this week exhausted from all the endeavors of the previous week, such as ExploreZone. However, God gave me the energy to persevere. I was satiated by the score I received on our most recent test. However, I was slightly apprehensive about it because I performed a slight experiment to test how much I need to study. I studied very little and still received a favorable score, which indicated that I need not spend as much time studying as I usually do, even if I am less sure of my abilities. Also, I have not quite accomplished as much as I would have liked on the chemistry project, but I am going to devote this entire Sunday to hopefully expunge the entire research portion of the project and potentially acquire all ten of my final items. I plan on attending a public library to obtain my physical sources for the project due to the restrictions placed on our school’s library. Also, I am enjoying learning about the multifarious chemical reactions that God’s infinite mind conjured up. It is truly amazing how everything in his creation fits together like a puzzle. On a different note, I cordially conversed with Mr. Hinton today regarding my schedule for the remainder of my stay at Northpoint, and if things go to plan, I will have the pleasure of being taught by you and Ms. Davis two years in a row! This condition will only be satisfied if it is approved, which I hope it will be. I honestly do not want to take A&P: the fiber of my being and life sciences are composed of like charges. Physics is one of my favorite branches of science and I especially look forward to having the mechanics of motion and forces covered in-depth. Next year is going to be a big step for me academically: I am going to have a very difficult schedule. I just have to trust that the Lord will give me the ability to do my absolute best. I am very excited about next year. I am ready to have difficult classes that will keep my mind occupied for a large portion of the day. Things are simpler when you constantly have tasks at hand. All in all, this has been a good week and I hope to have many more like it.
