  1. I am so happy that test is over with! I definitely don’t feel great about it. This chapter was really difficult for me, and the multiple choice especially freaked me out. I think I need to break concepts up into smaller pieces. I really reviewed for them for this test (I went through every conceptual question on worksheets and the textbook!), but it still didn’t quite click. I’m going to try something different for the next test. I am so so excited to start on Explore Zone, though! I remember how much fun it was in chemistry, but also how tired I was after haha! Let’s do this!

  2. The test was not as hard as I thought but it was still pretty challenging. I was not able to finish the problems so I need to make sure I work them more on my homework. I am glad we are working on explorer zone. It is a great break from the chaos of class. I am super excited and can not wait for it. Hopefully, I come up with a creative experiment that will be a hit with the kids.

  3. I don’t want to jinx it, but I felt better about this week’s test than I had on some of the last few tests! The multiple choice was pretty hard, but it was definitely more manageable since I discovered Hewitt Drew-It! I worked the problems first, and I think that it helped me manage my time better—I guess we will see haha! I’m SO excited about ExploreZone, but I’m a little stressed about finding an exciting Physics experiment that the kids will both really enjoy and learn a lot from. I hope they will be as awestruck as I was when I went to ExploreZone at their age! Looking forward to researching it a bit more and putting it all together!

  4. It’s hard to even believe that the test was earlier this week! I feel like we took it forever ago… I don’t think that it was my best test, but I hopeful that it is not my worst. I used Hewitt’s Conceptual Physics again, and I know that I will continue to use it in the tests to come! Now though I need to focus on ExploreZone! I’m really excited, but I just hope that I can find the perfect idea! I’m still not sure if Ruben’s tube will work or not… I know I get to do lots of research this weekend 🙂 Happy Weekend Ms. Skinner!

  5. I think this week was pretty ok. I think the test went well for me and I am so glad I watched the Hewitt videos! The ideas I have for Explorer Zone probably aren’t that exciting but I’m excited being apart of this again! I will do my best to excite and teach these kids!

  6. I’m not sure how the test went, but I’m going to hope for the best. There were a couple of tricky questions in there, but it was better than I expected. I am very excited for Explorer Zone! I’m still not 100% sure what I’m doing, but it’ll be fun.

  7. I always hate saying this… but I think the last test went fairly well! I’ve said that a lot this year and I have unfortunately yet to do “well” on a test haha. Maybe this is the one though! I am so glad we’re working on explore zone because it has been a much needed break in the midst of everything crazy going on. I haven’t found an amazing idea yet but hopefully it will come to me.

  8. I feel like I did decent on the test. I may have gotten confused on a few of the multiple choice but overall I felt pretty good about it. I definitely need to start on my labs over the weekend so I won’t be overwhelmed throughout the week. I also need to find an explore zone idea that I’m really excited about, so hopefully over the weekend I can either find a new idea or make the ideas I already have much better!

  9. Hi. I know I am late to this webpost again and I’m so so so sorry. I got home at 12:30 last night and it didn’t even cross my mind to do this as I crashed. Im sorry I missed the time stamp again. I feel sick and guilty about this happening twice in the matter of a single month. I’m not asking for mercy, but just forgiveness. I’m sorry I missed the webpost again Ms. Skinner, please know I love your class and I never want to appear lacking in concern or care for it. It hurts my heart to miss these webposts, and I hope you’ll forgive me. I am still looking for the final part of my Explorer Zone station that can give it that extra wow factor. I really believe my theme defining friction and expiring its properties would be ingenuitive not only because it has everyday applications but because it has great hands on activities. I am enjoying the research for this Explorer Zone more than the first time around because I understand the importance of teaching others on a greater level.
