Hon Chemistry 9-6-18 Relationships Between Data & Test Info

HON CHEMISTRY – You’ve learned to gather the “pieces of the puzzle”, now it’s time to put them together so they can have meaning! Here’s an overview of direct and inverse proportions. Just brief info for the test for now, and we’ll put it to practice in a couple of activities after the test.

And so you know what that means? We’ve FINISHED the chapter – well the book part any way! Now for test! Do you know how to prepare for it?

As you study, remember, don’t just read your notes – practice your notes, practice the problems, practice the memorization!! Be sure and check out the Chapter 2 Stuff to Know sheet and the chapter 2 study suggestions sheet. They are under the Test Info tab. God bless you! I’ll be praying for you!!

  1. I rate myself a 3/5 this week. The Dancing Raisin lab today was really fun, and I finished the majority of the lab. The ID of Unknown lab was frustrating at first, but I stayed after school yesterday to work on it, and I feel better about it now. The lab this weekend sounds pretty fun, and I’m going to study hard for the test on Tuesday!

  2. I rate myself a 3/5 this week. I finished most of the Dancing Raisins lab and got a substantial amount of the ID of Unknowns lab done so I believe that I am well prepared for the weekend and will be able to hopefully get even more of the ID of Unknowns lab done!

  3. I rate myself a 2/5 this week due to the fact that I have pretty much no idea what I am supposed to do for the ID of Unknowns lab, and I am afraid I will leave something out and receive a bad grade. Other than that, I feel like I did well understanding the chapter concepts and completing the homework to the best of my ability. Although, I feel like I need to improve my motivation and enthusiasm for the chemistry grind.

  4. I rate myself a 3/5 this week. I completed the majority of the dancing raisins lab, and although the ID of Unknowns lab was frustrating at first, I feel better about it because I spent extra time on it after school. I understood the information we covered in class, and I did well on the homework this week.

  5. This week was still challenging even though it was only 3 days! I have been getting better and better at working the problems, but as was pointed out today I need to work on showing more work and listing out the stuff that I know. I know the conseptually stuff almost 99% it’s jsut the problems I need practice with. Other than that I’ve done great this week.

  6. I rate myself a 3/5 this week. I was a little confused and frusturated during the ID of unknowns lab, but I think I’ve got it now. The dancing raisins lab was a lot of fun and I finished most of it in class. I also managed to catch up on all of my makeup work really quickly.

  7. This week I struggled with the lab ID of Unknowns because we only had one class period to work on it. I don’t have a study hall, so I couldn’t come throughout the day to work on it. As well, I have something to do after school everyday, so I can’t stay after school either. I struggled on the lab because I only got the measurements of one block. On Monday morning, I am going to come to school early to get more measurements of different colored blocks, so I can contribute more with the lab, get a good grade, and practice the calculations. Although I struggled on the lab this week, I have a made a plan for what I can to about it.

  8. This week I rate myself a 3/5. The dancing raisins lab was so cool and so fun to experiment with! I have been struggling with some of the problems we have to work out for homework, the ones where it doesn’t directly tell us the conversion factors, but I plan on rewatching the vodcasts and working out problems like those to get ready for the test!

  9. This week I rate myself 3/5 because even though I struggled some with the Dancing Raisins lab, I worked really hard on the ID of Unknowns lab. I stayed during seventh period and after school on Wednesday to work more on measuring the density of the blocks.

  10. I rate myself a 3/5 this week because I did very well in the Dancing Raisins lab because I almost finished it and our experiments were very creative. However, I struggled with getting measurements for different blocks for the Lab of ID Unknown, so I will come in during study hall and measure some more blocks to contribute to the group more and to prove the measurements retestable.

  11. I would rate myself a 3/5 for this week. Even though the ID of unknowns lab was frustrating, I think spending some more time working on it this week will make me feel better. I did almost finished the dancing raisins lab completely in class though. I will need to rewatch the vodcasts and work some more homework problems in order to prepare for our test.

  12. I would rate myself 4/5 this week. Since it was only a 3 day week I wasn’t stressed out about work and assignments. I had a really fun time at the game this Friday.

  13. I rate myself a 2/5 this week. I felt pretty clueless throughout the ID of Unknowns lab and I worry that I might do it incorrectly. Despite all that, I can still try to under stand from others.

  14. I would rate my self a3/5. I get all the stuff in chapter 2 but sometimes I just forget to show the steps to get to the answer.
