Physics 11-3-17 Friction & Forces on an Incline Problems Review

PHYSICS: Girl on a sled coasts down a hill, box is pushed up a hill… Is it starting to make a little more sense? Here’s our review of problems 40, 52, and 48 (I think).

Here’s the thing. You can watch me or someone else do a thousand problems (okay, maybe not a thousand – but a lot!), and it won’t help. I don’t want you to copy what I do, I want you copy why I’m doing it. Make sense? You’re getting it…keep sledding and watch out for net forces!

  1. This week in physics I would rate myself a 4/5 because I feel like I’m starting to understand the material better. I struggled at first with explaining everything and setting things up bet I eventually figured it out. A triumph of the week would be getting almost every answer right on the past 2 nights homework.

  2. This has been a busy week in Physics. We started out the week finishing the Capstone Force lab. It was hard trying to get the technology to work correctly but we eventually figured it out. We have been practicing Force problems all this week and it has been super math intensive. I was struggling at the start with the finding things you don’t know with things you do know concept but I have gotten much better and am doing very well on the problems. With some more practice, I should be completely good!

  3. This week I rate myself a 4 out of 5. Matthew and I completed the capstone lab at the beginning of the week. That was a triumph because the previous week it was giving us so much trouble. I also think that I am beginning to understand forces much better. I am starting to get the hang of the homework problems and am not having near as much trouble. I am looking forward to continue learning about forces.

  4. This week has been interesting. I would have to rate myself a 3/5 this week because I had my ups and my downs. I had trouble with some of the problems we worked this week, but I feel like I’m getting better at them. A real triumph I had was getting the capstone lab done because that was stressful. I’m happy we have a long weekend and I’ll be ready to get back at it Tuesday.
