Hon Chemistry 10-31-17 Mass to Moles to Molecules

HON CHEMISTRY: So what do you think is the mass of a mole of skittles? Awesome job today using a chemical formula as a tool!

It turns out there are tons of ways that you can use a chemical formula! Like finding molar mass, moles, and maybe how many skittles are in a mole of skittles? Let’s practice it tomorrow!

P. S. Did you realize how super important it’s going to be for you to be able to correctly write chemical formulas (and memorize all that formula stuff)?!?

  1. This week I would rate myself 2/5. I was not prepared for this weeks pre-test but I learned from my mistakes and I know how to write chemical formulas now.

  2. This week I would rate myself a 4/5. I didn’t think the pre-test would be as hard as it was, so I went to the help session for extra practice. I fully understand how to convert from molecules to grams and I think Cassie and I did very well in our labs this week!

  3. This week I rate myself 3/5. I did horrid on the pretest and I could have studied a lot more. However, I do understand transferring moles into grams and molecules, which is good.
