Hon Chemistry 10-19-17 Chemical Names & Formulas

HON CHEMISTRY: Great start on writing and naming chemical formulas! What did you think? Do-able? Absolutely! Make sure to take time to practice, practice, practice, and learn it step by step. You’ll be as lost as ball in high weeds if you let yourself get behind!

Tons of memorization for this chapter – monatomic ions, polyatomic ions, and this is just the beginning! Start now!!

  1. I would rate myself a 3/5 for this week. I studied hard for my test and I felt like I did well. Hopefully it went as smoothly as I thought. I also had fun working on the human robot assignment yesterday. It was pretty hectic but it was a good laugh. The only setback I’ve had this week so far was the material from today. I know it will get better with practice, but during class I felt a little bit overwhelmed with all of the material that I need to memorize and be able to apply.

  2. This week I would rate myself a 4/5. I studied hard for the test, and I made sure that I knew all the material before taking the test. Also, during the human programming exercise, my program successfully got Harrison back to my desk without error. I had a great time in chemistry this week, and I hope that I continue to improve everyday.

  3. This week I would rate myself 4/5. I studied hard for the test and tried my best. I also did fairly well on the human programming activity and has fun while doing it!

  4. This week I would rate myself a 5/5. I studied hard for my test and I feel like I did very well on it! Also, my instructions were correct (so far) on getting Cassie back to my desk yesterday and I understood the material we learned today. Plus, I actually remembered my web post this week! 🙂

  5. I struggled a bit this week over stressing for the test Tuesday, but I gave myself plenty of time to prepare and hope I did well (excluding the one I know I got wrong). My partner this week got me to her desk, even if I couldn’t get her to my desk and that’s a half triumph in my book. I love the lesson we learned today in class, it’s one of my favorite topics from eighth grade science and I cannot wait to develop my prior knowledge from knowing to applying in the future.

  6. This week i give myself a 4/5. I prepared for my test and felt very confident in my answers. I also began studying for thw quiz we have next week. However, I do not feel confident in the lesson we covered Thursday, but i will continue to work on it.

  7. I would give myself a 3/5 stars this week. I’m not sure how good I did on my test and I’m also not very confident in the lesson we’re learning this week because there are so many rules, but I will keep working on it.

  8. I would rate myself 3/5 this week because I cannot keep the rules for naming compounds and writing chemical formulas straight. But I studied well for my test and I did satisfactory on my separation lab.

  9. i would rate myself a 4/5 for this week because I figured out the most efficient way for me to study and not get distracted for a test. Also, I didn’t give up until I understood what to do to name and write chemical formulas compounds from this week’s lessons.

  10. This week was a triumph. I completed all my homework and I did really well on the element quizzes. me and my partner Blake came focused on our lab and was able to complete it with time to spare. I’m looking forward to another great week of chemistry.

  11. This week has been a triumph. Me and blake did really well on our lab. I was able to complete my homework and do well on the element quizzes. i’m looking forward to another great week.
