Physics 9-27-17 Review of Component Vector Addition

PHYSICS: So what do you this is the resultant of these “vectors”?!?

Great job with the component method of vector addition! My main take away from today – make sure you show all your work in a very orderly fashion! Here’s the review from today.

  1. Homecoming week in Physics has been an unexpectedly slow one. Usually, homecoming gets crazy with the classes and other activities, but Physics has been pretty laid back this week. I was happy to see I did pretty well on our last test, but if I didn’t make simple mistakes I could have done better! We have continued with vectors, moving on with the mathematical way of solving them. I prefer graphing naturally, but my answers are always more exact mathematically. I’ll just have to work on keeping it neat and readable. Will be working on the alternative assesments this weekend!

  2. This week in physics, I would rate myself a 4 out of 5 stars. Even though I missed class last Friday, I was able to watch the vodcast and catch up on how to graphically solve vectors. Even though graphing vectors to find the resultant takes less time, the answers aren’t as exact, and it’s easy to make mistakes! I’ve learned to prefer the component method of solving vectors, and I did really well on the worksheet 🙂 this weekend, I am going to finish up my lab write-ups and work on my alternative assessment assignment! Hopefully we will be able to apply all that we have learned about projectile motion.
