Chemistry 8-11-17 Lab Safety & Procedures

CHEMISTRY: Wow! Great video, but do you feel like you have information overload!?

Here is the lab safety video we watched in class. It does have a ton of info, and the thing is, you absolutely must know it – and not just for the test, but also throughout the year in lab. It’s a really good idea to watch it again and take notes as you go.

Be sure and check your syllabus to be ready for Monday! Here are some important reminders and an important UPDATE:

  • Be sure you have entered your information in the first day of class form – it’s in the the post I wrote called, “Beginnings” – due this morning (Friday), by 8:00 A.M.
  • The lab safety rules that you are to write tonight for homework are on the first couple of pages of the Safety Packet. They must be handwritten on notebook paper. You only have to write the first part of the rule that is bold. At the end of all the rules, write “I agree to abide by these rules.” Then sign underneath and date it – due Monday in class.
  • I have printed the lab for Monday.Be sure and read Pt. 1, The Bunsen Burner, for Monday!
