WOW! It has been an incredibly awesome year for me, and I hope it has been for you too! God bless you as you are studying for your chemistry & honors chemistry exam! If you need a break, check out this awesome review of the elements: The Element Song or this New Periodic Table Song, but don’t get distracted by the challenge!!

It is super, super important so study YOUR VERY BEST and remember to practice, practice, practice! This exam can make a HUGE difference in your average. FINISH STRONG, like you’ve been working all year!! Make flashcards out of the vocab, formulas, types of chemical reactions, etc. Practice writing chemical formulas, balancing equations, working the problems – try the practice tests on the online textbook or on sciencegeek.net, they’ll be really helpful. And get yourself plenty of snacks! šŸ™‚

How’s the exam review coming? You know, I don’t just give you that thing for the extra credit. I give it to you because it will help you get organized and help you remember everything that’s going to be on the exam. As you answer each topic, keep studying it, if you’re having trouble!

  2. This year has been awfully hard but good. I have learned so much from you! I have enjoyed your class so much and I will miss it (the experimets, not the lab reports, tests lol)! Thank you so much for all your hard work and also have a great summer!

Struggle: My struggle will be the will power to finish this exam review!
Triumph: Passing Chemistry, the Chemistry project, and finishing the school year!

    • This week I would rate myself 4/5. I feel like I have been managing my study guide work very well along with other study guides I have. I was very happy with my project grade and liked the lessons this week. Our labs this week taught me a lot and were very fun to do. Overall I feel like this week was a success.

  5. This year has been fun but I am glad it is coming to an end. This week was really fun because we got to do a lot of activities. I’m very glad about my grade on the project and I am going to make sure and get a lot done on my exam review.

  6. This year i feel like i very good over all in chemistry. i learned so much and am honestly sad to have to leave the class. I feel very confident going into exams, and i cant wait for physics senior year. i encourage all of you to work really hard on this exam and study. This exam could make or break you. Good luck!

  7. This week I would rate myself 4/5. I did well on the project, and I enjoyed doing the activities we did throughout the week. Even though I was pushed this year, I know I will be even more prepared for college and further on in life!

  8. This year has been great I chemistry learning new things and pushing myself to greater limits doing things I never thought I would be doing. I also have learned many life lessons this year has been great.

  9. Wow…. I would have never thought that making my last webpost would make me so sad….

This year, chemistry has been so amazing! It pushed me farther than I ever thought I would go and taught me so much about not only the subject, but about hard work and about God! I’m so thankful for this class and I’m going to miss it terribly. Thank you so much Ms. Skinner for everything you did for us. You are without a doubt the most incredible teacher i’ve ever had.

For our last week in chemistry, we did activities, exam review, got back our project, and learned about gases and acids/bases. I feel like I understood the activities pretty well and I had a lot of fun doing them! I haven’t gotten as far as I probably should have gone on the exam review but I still have a pretty decent start on it. I was super happy with my project grade and am feeling very rewarded for all the hard work i put into it! As for the lessons, this was probably my only somewhat struggle this week. The acids/bases/pH lecture made sense to me but I was struggling a little bit with gases. I will make sure to go back and rewatch the vodcasts before he exam! I would rate myself a 5/5 this week.
