Physics 2-22-16 Pascal’s Law

PHYSICS: Did you realize that fluids could produce that much force? Make’s you wonder at the awesome way God designed those beautiful under water sea creatures to withstand so much pressure, doesn’t it? This little creature is a lionfish from the waters of Lembeh, Indonesia.

Oh, and here’s the lecture on Pascal’s law and hydraulics and the like.

  1. WOW! Those T-bots are awesome. I cannot wait to see what all of our bots can do now that we successfully fixed the bots!

  2. I really enjoyed using the T-bots this week! For me, fixing the bots helped reinforce all the principles we had learned as we figured out the best way to get the air out of the tubes. And- a bonus- the bots were super fun to work! We also really exercised a lot of teamwork; it took coordination to effectively move the bots! 🙂

  3. Triumph: Our T-Bot made us a delicious snack yesterday while studying for Physics. It was awesome getting to see how the pressure between the two syringes worked to move the T-Bot! Cant wait for more!

  4. I would rate myself a 4 out of 5 this week. I understand the concepts and am getting the problems but it is taking me a long time. I had fun working with the T Bots this week. It was cool to see how much just a little bit of hydraulic pressure can pick up!

  5. Success: I feel really confident about the torque problems after going over them again today in class. I really appreciate us taking an extra day to review them!

  6. This week, I rate myself a 4/5 because I feel like i made progress this week the reverse scavenger hunt. I also believe that I made good progress with my test this week. I look forward to going to the help lab net week.

  7. This week i enjoyed “taking it easy” by doing the reverse element scavenger hunt. I hope that this will be a good lab grade for me. I would rate myself a 3/5 this week because of my poor test grade and because I forgot to do one days worth of homework. I hope that i can raise my grade in the coming week before spring break.
