Physics 1-5-16 Conservation of Momentum

PHYSICS: Welcome back and happy new year! Great job beginning your own investigation of the law of conservation of momentum! What about this Newton’s cradle? Can you see the conservation of momentum?

Go play with the problems and we’ll talk more about collisions tomorrow!

Have you got a copy of the syllabus yet? It’s really important that you read it carefully and follow up – especially as pertains to future endeavors!

  1. Hey Mrs. Skinner glad to be back and I already have question for you after looking at the Project sheet. What is the invitation you are talking about in the P.S. part?

  2. It has been interesting this week to see more about how momentum and kinetic energy play into collisions. So far I would say I am doing pretty well with all the problems and concepts, but this is before adding multiple steps to the collision problems. Can’t wait to get done with “A” part so I can finally answer the question that seems like it should be much “easier…”
