CHEMISTRY: We finally finished the chapter! Did you realize molecules could be that large? And so many of them. But don’t you think polymers are cool? Here’s the lecture from Wednesday. Don’t forget the Polymer Worksheet and the work from the textbook. Put the answers on sheets of notebook paper.
Some items for contemplation: why are certain plastics recyclable and others not…and what about dishwasher and microwave safe? Hmmmmm…

Today, I literally went home and inspeced all of my bottles, trashbags, and most of my containers to see how recyclable they were! It’s so cool how chemists learned about polymers and have been able to incorporate that into man-made items for human use! “Too cool for school” Mrs. Skinner, Too cool!
The lesson today on polymers was really interesting.
I always wondered why there were numbers at the bottom of my water bottles. Now, I know why.
before today i hadnt even heard the word polymers. but now i know what they are
These polymers are interesting the way they are constructed with the branch things and connectors or even the just side by side ones
It is fascinating how branching the strands has such dramatic results.
Learning about polymers is fun!! I just hope I can remember everything for it on the test!
I really enjoyed talking about polymers today! I thought the story of how Styrofoam was invented was really neat!
I never understood why different materials had different recycling numbers. Now I do!
It’s cool how polymers make up so many different thing.
Thank you for the putting up the studying tips and the materials on the test. Its a big help.
Reviewing for the test today was very helpful.
Polyesters were very interesting to learn about
Thank you for the review in class today. It was helpful.
I really like learning about polymers . And the test review helped a lot.
If cross linked polymers are thermosetting and single stranded are always thermoplastic what is a branched polymer?
The test review I think helped.
This is probably one of my favorite lesson’s so far! So glad I finally understand.
Ms. Skinner! I loved doing the lab today! It was so much fun! I hope we do more like it. 🙂
I really liked the lab this week.
The lab this week was very interactive.
The polymer lab was very fun and helped me understand more about the structures of polymers.
Polymers are the coolest thing since stainless steal.
