Chemistry 11-11-13 Molar Mass, Moles & Avogadro’s Number

CHEMISTRY: So how many water molecules are in this drop? Here’s the lecture from today on formula mass and then using molar mass and Avogadro’s number as a conversion factor. You did a great job on thinking through the problems! Now go forth and practice them so you don’t forget!

  1. Finally! Something I understand! Thank you for going over it with us. It makes me feel like I know what I’m doing. Thank you so much!

  2. I really liked that we already kinda knew how to do the molecule problems without you showing us how to do it. It made me feel really smart!

  3. I liked the gum lab we did today. It was pretty cool and I didn’t know the gums mass changed that much after chewing it. I never thought of that.

  4. I had fun doing the gum lab today! It made me realize how we can actually use the percentage composition formula in real life!
