Physics 8-22-13 Motion and Displacement

PHYSICS – What a “moving” lesson today! Get it? “Moving”? Okay, okay, I’ll stop. Here’s the lecture from Thursday on the intro to motion. Great beginning to kinematics! Let’s crank it up on the problems tomorrow!

  1. For number 11 and problems like the Nate and Elijah, once we figure out the numbers, how do we know what to do with them? I’ll ask in more detail in class

    • Oh Bekah, for problem four I think it is referring to the intervals between each mark on time axis (ex. 0-t1, t1-t2). For the first question, the interval is just everything that the graph has given you. I could be wrong on these though.

  2. In #7 on R52 in tonight’s homework, the problem does not provide us with a quantity of distance. How are we supposed to solve for time if we are not supplied distance?
