Chemistry 4-3-12 Metallic Bonds

CHEMISTRY: Hey guys! Here’s the lecture on metallic bonding… make sure you can explain the properties of metals. Not just what metals do, remember, but why they do it (using the Electron Sea Model). We’ll play with one of the properties tomorrow!

Speaking of tomorrow, don’t forget about the 3-D Molecule Computer Lab that is due by the end of the day tomorrow. Be sure and save it to the server at school in your chemistry class folder. Follow the instructions on the 3-D Molecule Computer Lab instruction sheet. Good luck!

Whoops – I almost forgot to post the Water Wire Take Home Lab. Click here for a copy.

UPDATE: Here’s an updated vodcast on metallic bonds – hopefully the sound will work on this one.

  1. Ms. Skinner, the sound on the video is a little messed up. You can only hear the first three minutes or so before it’s silence. I thought you might like to know that. 🙂

    • Sarah – Thank you!! It’s been acting very contrary lately. I’ll see if I can find another vodcast with the same info to load. Thanks again!!

    • Ellen – You can include them in the body of the paper, with page numbers, but, if it were me, I’d put them in an appendix at the end of your paper. You’d just label each illustration: Appendix A, Appendix B, etc.
